PROGRESSIVE UNDERGROUND - New Progressive Rock in Edinburgh




An evening of new & upcoming Progressive Rock, featuring live sets from three Edinburgh-based bands.

Yeah, sorry again for the late post folks.

This show was a great success and the turnout was brilliant. Croatoa played a storming set with some ridiculous tunes. Proggy in a Mars Volta-esque sense, but with a definite alt rock streak to it! Recordings on their MySpace are quite outdated but they're in the studio currently so it's worth keeping an eye out for their new stuff when it's ready!

Abandoned Stars had a bit more of a classic sound which brought to mind 80's Rush but with a dash of metal in the mix, sort of Scenes From A Memory era Dream Theater. Guitarist had serious chops and there was a bunch of electronics used too which was interesting! No web presence currently, so I cant link anything unfortunately!
