Can it be done?  And if it can... how?  It'd make my life a million times easier...

I'm aware I could check the manual.  But it just confuses me.  I'd much rather ask a very chipper and supportive forum

I'm assuming you're talking about the "bass" pedals you can get for typical organ playing? That should be possible. Never tried it before.

So there's no confusion.  This is the pedal I am referring to.

I get your message.  :D

truth be told, I'll have to have a look. I know you can assign the hold button to a single footpedal. You can deffo assign sample trigger to the d-beam, have you considered that as a plan B? Let me fire up the G tomorrow and have a look about option A.

back soon, J

That's very possible. I was doing that with my X7 way back on our first tour. It's a bit of a head f*ck though which is why I abandoned it...

Right I've had a look and it's bad news I'm afraid. You can do most other things it would appear including pitch bend which is interesting.

Your only other options would be to trigger the sample off the d-beam. I've done that live before and it's not too much of a faff, just make sure nobody's standing nearby or you'll whap them in the head.  :D

Alternatively, you could buy some midi trigger pedals and fire 'em off that using a rhythm set set to channel 10 or something similar. Behringer's are good -

As a last resort, you could buy a Boss RC-2 loop pedal and fire samples from there.

I've got an RC-50 in reserve for that kinda stuff.

Hope that helps. Sozza the Fantom came up short.

Quote from: "Pedro"...but will the Kronos do it?
Well the "old/defunct/replaced" OASYS (no...I'm not bitter!!!) provides stiffies on demand linked to any old controller so I'd be surprised if it didn't  :D
There are only 10 types of people]

The Kronos will trigger samples simply when you're thinking about it. It will also cook, pour you a lovely glass of wine and give you a massage after it has automatically written the worlds biggest hit, before you even turned it on.

Awesome.  Thanks for all the help.  If I can get my hand on a Boss RC-2 loop pedal that'd be nice.  I'm a few yards away from endorsing Roland after this Namm show.  So the boss pedals couldn't hurt that.  :)
