Pleased to see that Darwin's Radio are putting the music well ahead of any artistic pretensions when it comes to band image ;)
Had Dec finished his beer by the time the picture was taken, or was he out of cash? :D
It's lovely to see the lads all smiling!

He'd probably just been hugging fans.
As a quick foretaste of next Saturday's gig, here's some hastily-cobbled-together snippets from the DR band rehearsal (//http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soYPNJmn4dU) this afternoon. It's over 2 years since they last all played together but you wouldn't think it from the way they played today and it's going to be a BRILLIANT gig on Saturday.
Apologies for the video quality - I've been using a different package for the first time this evening which probably was not a good idea. Also the lighting in the studio was not of the brightest. But the music was really good!

That's wet my appetite for Saturday night :)
Anybody else attending Saturday night's gig at the Peel :?:
I'm coming, so's my brudder I think. And Nellie. And Pedders.

I'll be there too be good to see you again
I'd very much like to be there, unfortunately MOT and car tax won the race to use the available funds.
However, A gigging I will go! so we're off to Gorleston to see Mother Black Cap.
It will be a good night

He'd probably just poured it down a fans earhole.
Edited for Accuracy
Hmmm, can't be there, I'm afraid: sounds like it'll be a good one. Enjoy (and report back, please) :)

Report back from moi should include lots of photos
I'd love to be there, but unfortunately I'm geographically and financially unsuitable for most Prog gigs. Blast.

Weren't we supposed to be finding you a suitable progtastic soul-mate, Mouse? We'll just add "fabulously wealthy and with a helicopter" to the criteria we're matching against :D
Should be leaving in about 20mins see those of you going a bit later :D
have a great time, kids!!! say hello to everyone for us!!

Ditto!
I couldn't go in the end!
For reasons I won't bore you with, I've had to return to barracks to deal with home things. I was nearing the Kingston turn off on the M25 when I got the call. So bloody close!!!
So apologies to thems wot I missed, apologies to Dec and the boys and sorry all round really. I was soooo looking forward to seeing everyone.

Sorry to hear that, Jem: hope it wasn't anything dire.
Ouch, bad luck old bean. Really hope it wasn't anything too serious.
Shame you couldn't be there - you missed a really good gig. Let's hope they get some more organised soon!
Shame!!
Same here, family things, not quite as urgent though, got in the way, hoping for another gig in the not too distant future. Hope everyone who went enjoyed it!
It was a cracker, both bands were excellent

Yes, they were. I quite enjoyed Jump's set and Darwin's Radio were exceptional. The lads deserve much more exposure with the talent they have.
Felt really sorry for Dec and the boys - they were great and the 70 or so of us cheered as best we could, but they deserved a much fuller venue. Where were all the IQ fans?
As it was, I could prop my weary body up against the fireplace and get an uninterrupted view of Mark's keys (was driving so couldn't prop it up against the bar on the other side of the room).
Jump were surprisingly good, given that I'd not come across them before.
DR highlight for me was "The Illusion Is Freedom" which has been spinning merrily in the car lately and was extremely well recreated live given the twists and turns in it - ditto "The Vast Within". Maybe if there'd been more of us we'd have got an encore of "Illusion"?

Which one is that then?
M3?

The one that goes through Chessington, past that garden centre that I used to spend so much money in.

M3? You haven't bought the M3 you were talking about Jem, have you :?:
Why do all the best things have to happen on the same night?!
Phila and I would have been there but we were in Upper Norwood watching my sister performing the contralto solo in Rossini's 'Petite Messe Solemnelle'.
Get us and our cultured weekend... :o)
Montage! (//http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJ2Jro9sXcs) <--- Link to Darwin's montage, that is!!

It's a 3 series 3 litre M Sport coupe. Not quite an M3, but it's still a bloody work of art. And it goes like you wouldn't believe. :D

I've had both the petrol & diesel 330 M Sport and I loved them to bits. Only shame is that it's only 2 seats in the back on the current model. On the bright side though, still plenty of power and more dosh in your pocket than if you went for the M3 :)
