Title: Celebr8.2 Review... of sorts
Post by: LivingForever on May 19, 2013, 03:07:19 PM
Well, it's not exactly an overview of the whole weekend, but it's what I saw on Saturday. Including a man with a hurty finger.

Oh, don't mind me; I'm not at all wounded by the fact that you've gone and illustrated your review without using any of my pictures, despite having asked for permission to do so last weekend. Go ahead and use only Mike's shots, why doncha?  :-[ :P :'(

And all because I had the temerity to bring up the Great Curry Financing Debacle again (and was a day later in posting my set than the mighty Samwise Gamgee) ...  ::)

Shan't read it now ... humph.

Hahaa, sorry- to be honest there was an embarrassment of riches from the day, and I happened to be on the Fishtank at the time I started putting in the pictures... It's nothing personal, I promise... ;)

They're on tour in Europe right now with John Wetton himself

They should probably make more toilet stops.

Only if you're afflicted by the faux pretension / inferiority complex that insists that we bow and scrape across the Channel towards our former lords and masters from wot we nicked a few few words. They're ours now; we do wiv 'em as we please. Normally, this would be a problem suffered by the chattering classes from south of Watford; I'm surprised to see that it's migrated northwards  8)

(It's in situations like this that I reminded of the section in Richard Dawkin's "The Extended Phenotype" where he comments on a similar affectation re: "program" and "programme": see para 2 in http://www.evolbiol.ru/phenotype/phenotype.html#07 (http://www.evolbiol.ru/phenotype/phenotype.html#07))

Of course, the only thing that's worse is the occasional longer distance fawning eastwards across the Atlantic that would have you believe that it's pronounced Pah-ree. Bah, humbug.

(But of course, you're right: I read LFE's review, if only to see if he could avoid being overly lascivious in his review of District 97. Only just ...  ;))

Enough of that: have you seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7VHRyQDMTM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7VHRyQDMTM)?

Yes, I'm beginning to get quite suspicious of the excuse that Karin was at home watering the geraniums, or whatever it was ...  ::)
