Thanks for your kind messages. Weird having a birthday on a Monday - I can't remember having one of those since....ooooh...2004!
Still to offset the Monday blues we all went as a family to see Super 8 at the cinema, and I was really impressed. Obviously with a blockbuster, you really get an Experiment in Mass Appeal. Except it's no experiment really, all the boxes have been ticked and the script and edits run through countless focus groups I guess, but as it goes, I think Super 8 is one of best of the genre.
I love Speilbergey sci-fi with Close Encounters being one of my all time faves,  I have  a soft spot for ET too, plus all the 70's references from my childhood, whats not to like?
Apart from the slightly cheesy and predictable ending, that is

Omnisphere and Stylus RMX weren't really birthday gadgets Pedders, more necessities as my old Spectrasonics plugins didn't work on my Intel Macbook Pro. So no gadgets really, just a couple of blu rays, a few games and best of all: booze and choccy!
Although I AM on the lookout for an Hard Disk board for my Trinity so I can record directly into the silver beast - there was one on ebay recently but a bit too expensive for me. It turns out that individual add on boards for the Trinity are worth more than the actual instrument. How bizarre is that?   :shock:
