Well the gig was good! We really enjoyed it. Even got some new fans. :)

We're going to retreat for a bit now, start writing a lot of new songs. Think, more prog elements, more concept album stuff. Some cool stuff is starting to come together already.

It might be a fun idea to document the process. Not sure how yet, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the idea Pedro. :)

Good news! We finished 8th, which means we're going to play! Needless to say, we're all very happy, as it's a pretty huge festival down here.

So, thanks again everyone! You're a fantastic bunch. :D

Thanks all!

With all your help, we're now ranked 8th, which is good! If we can manage to hold this position (or better) until July 10, we'll get to play the festival! :D

Amazing the stuff you discover after being away from the Frost* forum for a while. It sounds like something fresh, though familiar. Very good!

Digging the drums as well, good playing there RWA.

Excellent stuff! I've never really heard anything like it. Great atmosphere throughout the whole thing. Sounds to me like it could be in some kind of indie feelgood movie. Not quite sure how to describe it, lol.

Will you be posting more of these videos on your channel?

Quote from: "JimD"As someone who's just posted their own video link up here and wants views, I wanted to check your vid out too!

Nice to see bands doing band things, like rehearsing, playing live, and messing about near water  ;)

Good luck with your competition!

Thank you very much! I'm gonna go check out your vid too! :)

G'day Frost*ies!

It's been a while since I've been here, and I'm a bit ashamed for opening up a topic such as this, but I'd love it if you could help me out.

Other than wanting to promote my band's cool new video, I'm also in need of views on YouTube. You see, we've entered a competition, where the bands with most views on YouTube, get to play a big festival here in the Netherlands.

So of course we have to try every dirty trick in the book to get those views, and I thought, where to find a dirtier audience than on the Frost* forum!

So, if you can find it in your heart, to help out a fellow Frost*ie, I - and my bandmates - will be eternally grateful. I'll understand if you're not a big fan of these kind of posts, so I'll apologize in advance. :)

Anyhoo, here's the link: //http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHt8OwvZGwc

Thanks again, and if you have any comments about the music (or video), I'd love to hear those too! :)

Quote from: "Againesis"Ahhh - was that you and Mrs Pajter then stood right in front of me on the steps next to the sound desk?  Or did we have more than one set of Dutch visitors?

There's no Mrs Pajter as far I can recall. I was there with some Dutch mates and my London'ish cousin. I was standing(/wobbling) to the left of the middle I guess.

I had a great time! The journey was quite exhausting and expensive, but it was all worth it! Wouldn't have missed it for the world. I'll be there again next year, if I can afford it.

Quote from: "Trapezium Artist"You may laugh, sir, but at least for the first half of the day, I'm definitely in that number. Once you've experienced a kidney stone, copious hydration (and the obvious consequences) becomes an imperative!

Indeed, given the number of gentlemen (and ladies, I daresay) on this forum of a certain age, I feel compelled to make a public service announcement in that regard:

DRINK MORE!

(and for these purposes at least, yes, it can be beer, tea, coffee ...  8-) )

I wouldn't ever want to experience kidney stones. And I wouldn't dare laugh at them either. To be honest, I was thinking about diarrhea, and that made me laugh.

Yeah, very childish.
