Yes, it is interesting.  Although I didn't really hear any sounds I can't already get using my Roland GR20 and / or Fantom X6, I'd like to try one!
I guess the unique bit is that with a guitar synth you just have to play it like a guitar and unless you can use your leg like a contortionist or have grown an extra arm, you can't simultaneously access performance controls like the D-Beam.  With this one, your 'strumming' hand controls that too.  So that bit is clever.  However, unlike a guitar synth, it has no real guitar sounds for interesting hybrids.
History has shown that guitarists are generally quite a conservative (with a small c) lot and are more interested in instruments from the 1950s than new ideas and so I fear this one may go the way of the SynthAxe and Stepp...  :?
