Title: Blog Music Video?
Post by: Philip_T on November 01, 2011, 06:22:01 PM
A while ago, Jem posted an odd music video on his blog. It was English so I have no idea what it was about, but featured an odd fellow doing the 'okay' sign with his hands. Anyone know who that was? TIA

Phil

You mean this?

I don't think that's actually english, or any recognizable language of the human race for that matter  :?  You'd have to ask Jem why he posted that on the blog but that was way back in february and I believe that was rather dark time for him so who knows.

Yep, that's the one. Sorry, meant to say that it was not English. According to some of the comments, it's supposed to be Italian gibberish?  I'd say they succeeded.

"Prisencolinensinainciusol" [priz?nk?lin?nsinain?t?uz?l] is a song composed by Adriano Celentano, and performed by Celentano and his wife, singer/actress-turned-record producer Claudia Mori.
...
In an interview, Celentano explains that the song is about incommunicability in modern times. He added that the only word we need is prisencolinensinainciusol, which is supposed to stand for "universal love".

Celentano's rationale for the song was that, after releasing albums about ecology and social issues, "having just recorded an album of songs that meant something, I wanted to do something that meant nothing".

I wonder what the ol' translator thingy would make of it?
