Frost* / New Frost* Report!
May 27, 2019, 01:39:07 AM
Just about to go to bed and I got a notification on my phone of a new Frost* Report! Last time a proper new Report was uploaded I'm not sure YouTube even did phone notifications.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZw7L5q_vHY

Enjoy all, but don't tell me how it ends because I'm going to watch it in the morning.

I've just discovered that Nathan has been doing videos for Andertons for quite a while, thought I'd share:

Hi All, just in case some people don't do social media, this is from Facebook:

Jem will be on the radio at 18:20 on the Phil Kennedy show.

I presume he is there to talk about Frost* and FS. Perhaps he will sit there in silence during the show.

Frost* / Exciting times! Yet so quiet...
February 25, 2016, 06:50:13 PM
Perhaps it's the quiet before the storm, but it seems odd that it's so quiet in here at a time when Frost* activity is at a height we haven't seen for years!

Are you all excited? I'm excited, that's for sure!

Other Bands / Will Gregory Moog Ensemble
June 23, 2015, 08:40:16 PM
Hello all!

A couple of weeks ago my gf and I went to see Will Gregory Moog Ensemble at Town Hall in Birmingham and it's just occurred to me that that's the sort of thing that would probably be well received by one or two of the Frost*ies. It's essentially a group of very talented musicians including Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) and Adrian Utley (Portishead) playing a selection of music entirely on vintage analogue synths many of which are Moogs, but not all.

Anyway we really enjoyed it, and if you're into synths and/or music and/or happiness in any way I'd certainly recommend it. There's only one show left though, in London in July. http://www.willgregorymoogensemble.co.uk/dates/

Has anyone else seen them on any of their earlier dates?

Those of you who don't do Twitter may not be aware that Jem has been re-uploading a few of the old Frost* reports to a new YouTube Channel which can be found here:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfwcuf6eoSd80RjwdZuvwHQ?&ab_channel=Frost*

Needless to say we should all be liking and subscribing to show our support :)

A new image!
Does the lock mean "go away, we're closed"?

I need to go and lie down and try not to think about it.

Frost* / The good old days
August 04, 2014, 11:27:54 PM
My, it's very quiet in here these days. I was just having a nostalgic moment and managed to find this:

I like to look forwards rather than back, but I do miss the days of Frost* activity. And try as I might I just can't unlock Jem's magic formula and write my own Frost* 3!

Friends Of Frost* / An electronic thing wot I did
October 23, 2013, 04:15:22 PM
Hello lovely people!

I finally finished one of my many electronic music idea thingies and posted it on Soundcloud and I thought I would share it with you all in case that's the sort of thing you enjoy. There is a tiny little nod to BLM in there too, I'd be interested to see if anyone spots it.

You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/jake-worrell/extracelestial

Enjoy (or not), and I'd love to know what you think.

Other Bands / Losers: And So We Shall Never Part
June 10, 2013, 03:27:51 PM
The wondreful Losers' 2nd album 'And So We Shall Never Part' (in which Jem has had a great deal of involvement) is being streamed in it's entirety below today only. It includes *that* version of Azan with A little snippet of a new Frost* song.

I've only just started listening myself but I can say it's sounding great so far!

Frost* / Frost* 3 Wishlist / Predictions
March 16, 2012, 02:43:31 PM
Naturally we all trust the band to do what is right with Frost* 3 but I though it might be fun to make a little wishlist of things we would like to feature in the next album. I'm wary this might turn into "be more like the first album" so lets keep it light hearted. Perhaps when the album is released we can see how many things we managed to predict correctly :D

I would like to open with a couple:

1. Warm, reverb drenched E-Piano ala Subterranean Homesick Blues by Radiohead.
2. Served with hot custard.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

SO! It has been fully revealed. Here is the link just for reference //http://frostmusic.net/advent/images/logo2012.png

No doubt there will be opinions, heres mine:

I love it, very modern which is no doubt deliberate in order to reflect elements of the F*** sound.

but what do YOU think?

maybe if we all club together we could do this? I can provide a couple of Ikea lamps and 3 4-gang power adapters.

Oh and a torch.

Confirmed here: //http://jemgodfrey.blogspot.com/2011/08/summers-end.html

QuoteJust giving my stunt liver a rinse in readiness for seeing @LordConnaught tonight. We've decided it might be nice to do a gig sometime...

Looks like the long awaited Godfrey and Mitchell experimental baroque rave is on! Probably not Frost* related.

Frost* / Super Mario Galaxy 2
July 25, 2011, 09:09:22 PM
I was indulging in said electronic video entertainment when I was struck by what sounded like the nimble fingers of our dear uncle Jem plinkety-plonking on a piano.

It just sounds an awful lot like something he would write. Not completely, but in places. Have a listen:

Game music is seriously overlooked, by the way.

Frost* / News: Jem Godfrey *nearly* says Frost*
May 27, 2011, 08:06:30 PM
Quote from: "@JemGodfrey"I never said the spirit of the big F* was dead. :)
Definitely good news. I think the hint is that his new music might still have the spirit of Frost*.

Jem's on a train and its doing all sorts of funny things to his head:

Quote from: "@JemGodfrey"D'ya know what? Having heard the PRR album today and now the Hybrid album, maybe prog is breaking out of its cliched ghetto and progressing

Let's not get too excited though eh chaps and ladygents, but its nice to hear that Jem is still excited by Prog sometimes. Right, time to check out that Hybrid album...
