Title: Unreleased Tracks
Post by: BlindFate on May 16, 2017, 08:52:08 PM
I've been reading a lot of Jems posts recently and noticed he mentions working on tracks 'Exhibit A', 'Clocks Go Back,' 'Heart Of Violence', '1976', 'Fathers' etc...

I Know Fathers wasn't released on FS because it didn't fit the overall vibe and concept of the album and 1976 STILL isn't finished (9 years and counting!) but what became of the others and does anyone know if they'll eventually be released?

Fathers exists as a demo (my copy dates to 2013) and 1976 as a 2-minute excerpt from one of the DVDs.

As for "Exhibit A", "Clocks Go Back", and "Hearts of Violence", I'm just as curious as you are  8)

I think 'Clocks Go Back' eventually evolved into The Raging Against The Dying of the Light Blues In 7/8

Yes, wasn't it also a potential name for the album after '6 Minutes in September' was decided against?

As for 'Exhibit A' and 'Heart of Violence', I would suspect the fact that they've not been shared would be down to the possibility of them being used in a later release, Album 4 maybe?

Never mind all that. Did you know......

Ḥeḥ (also Huh, Hah, Hauh, Huah, Hahuh and Hehu
was the personification of infinity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity_(philosophy)) or eternity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternity) in the Ogdoad (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogdoad_(Egyptian)) in Egyptian mythology (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_mythology).[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-Wilkinson_109-1) His name originally meant "flood", referring to the watery chaos that the Egyptians believed existed before the creation of the world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Egyptian_creation_myths).[2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-2) The Egyptians envisioned this chaos as infinite, in contrast with the finite created world, so Heh personified this aspect of the primordial waters.[3] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-3) Heh's female counterpart was known as Hauhet, which is simply the feminine form (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammatical_gender) of his name.[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-Wilkinson_109-1)
Like the other concepts in the Ogdoad, his male form was often depicted as a frog (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frog), or a frog-headed human, and his female form as a snake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake) or snake-headed human. The frog head symbolised fertility, creation, and regeneration, and was also possessed by the other Ogdoad males Kek, Amun, and Nun.[4] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-4) The other common representation depicts him crouching, holding a palm stem (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_stem) in each hand (or just one),[5] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heh_(god)#cite_note-5) sometimes with a palm stem in his hair, as palm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_tree) stems represented long life to the Egyptians, the years being represented by notches on it. Depictions of this form also had a shen ring (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shen_ring) at the base of each palm stem, which represented infinity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity). Depictions of Heh were also used in hieroglyphs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_hieroglyphs) to represent one million (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Million), which was essentially considered equivalent to infinity in Ancient Egyptian mathematics (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Egyptian_mathematics). Thus this deity is also known as the "god of millions of years".
