The old tiger moth will be out and about soon, details may appear here

Ah, many thanks Mikey. Some how, I've been on this forum 2 years but I forgot there was a gig page.
So here we are.  I'm excited to report that I have 4 upcoming events this year. These are all in the way of supporting other artists, and though I'm billed as Tiger Moth Tales for these performances, they will be just myself, with piano, acoustic guitar and one or two tricks up my sleeve.

So off we go.
On October 24th I'm playing keyboards for the CKDCF event. This means I will get  to accompany such legends as Francis Dunnery and Robert Plant. Our beloved John Mitchell will also be doing a couple there, but I don't think he needs a keyboard player sadly. :) I'll also get to take the stage solo and do a couple of TMT tracks.
Sadly this event is now sold out what with it being a Dunnery gig :) but I mention it as I'm rather chuffed about it and it's pretty darned cool.

Attention them up north for this one. On November 14th I'll be supporting Mr Davy O List! Formerly of The Nice, and with a brand new fantastic solo album out. He's doing a few shows and I'm lucky enough to be part of one of them at the Wesley Centre in Maltby Rotherham.
I'm also very happy because it's a bit nearer for me and for a lot of my friends in the South Yorkshire area who haven't been able to make it to my other support gigs. So if your in that area or even if your not, you can get tickets and info from the CRS site as they're running the event.
www.classicrocksociety.co.uk
That's pretty cool too. :)

Then I'm with the wonderful Lifesigns on December 6th at the zephyr Lounge in Leamington. A great honour, and after having heard clips from their live DVD I can't wait to hear them do their thing. See the link below if you like the sound of that one.
https://shop.ticketscript.com/channel/web2/get-dates/rid/VHCHB5LE/eid/245407/language/en

And the last one, a corking prog treble bill in bonney Scottland. Tiger Moth Tales and We Are Kin have the privilage to be supporting Abel Ganz in their home town at the CCA in Glasgow. This should be a fantastic night and just before Christmas on the 18th of December. Really excited about this one. Tickets for that one are available here:
http://www.cca-glasgow.com/programme/560142cd38ea59c442000001

So Frost*ies, if you fancy seeing the Moth do his thang, and then watching a decent band as well, these gigs may be of interest to you. Plus it would be fab to meet some of you at last as I am very fond of you all and I'll always remember your kind words when I first tentitively mentioned that Cocoon thing. :)

For those who have enquired about the possibility of TMT going out as a full band, ... I have nothing concrete to tell you at this point. :) But I do have some pretty awsome plans for next year and I intend to do at least a handful of gigs with a full band. My friends from Red Bazar are keen to be involved and we are going to make a big racket/noise sometime next year. More than that, I can't commit to at this point.

If you're straining your eyes reading all this, please feel fre to have a cuppa and come back to it later. Or you can visit the TMT website which has all the details.
www.tigermothtales.com

Finally, if you can't make any of these great gigs for some rubbish reason like you live at the other side of the world ;) or if you're thinking about coming to see TMT but aren't sure what you're going to get, take a look at this:
http://tigermothtales.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-the-borderline?t=4

This is the official bootleg from the Borderline performance when I supported the magnificent Magenta. You can stream a couple of tracks, or if you want to you can purchase the whole thing as a download for the princely sum of £3.50. :) If you do that, many thanks.
Ok, that's more than enough for now, but I do hope to meet some of you before the year is out. :)

I thought I'd posted about it here mate, though we did decide to put it out in something of a hurry and what with that and the fact I post these days in about a dozen different pages / forums, it's possible I didn't post it here. If so, my sincere alopogies. I just got an email notification from bandcamp? Was that you sir, if so thanks very much. :)

If I upload it will my phone stop ringing?

Lol probably not. It's a shame we couldn't include the covers I did on the night as that was 10 minutes extra material and included More Fool Me which I have an ever growing fondness for.  Ah well, who knows, when I get megger famous maybe one day the whole gig will get mysteriously leeked on to the net and be a much sort after bootlet as the first ever entire TMT gig. Lol

Hi there Frosties. Rather excited now and slightly panicky as I prepare to start for Cumbria first thing tomorrow. I'm excited not least because I'll be accompanying our very own Mr Mitchell on keyboard for a song. Can't wait for that.  I just wanted to thank all those who donated to my Just Giving page for the CKDCF. I'm not far off my target, so if anybody stil wants to donate you can do so here:
https://www.justgiving.com/peter-jones62/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=fundraisingpage&utm_content=peter-jones62&utm_campaign=pfp-share
Thanks again, and now I must rush off and do a bit of last minute rehearsing. I can't let Mr Plant and Mr Dunnery down. V V exciting and all for an excellent cause. Hope to bump in to some of you there. :)

Hi folks. THis is a bit late, but thought I'd post some vids and sound clips from the CKDCF show, shere I got to play with Francis Dunnery, the wonderful Robert Plant, and most importantly I got to meet and accompany our wondreful John Mitchell. Had a good chat with John and what a nice and jolly funny bloke he is. Had me in stitches a time or two. Ok, here goes. Most of these predictably are from Mr Plant's set as thats the bits people seem to have filmed. I don't know if there were any Frost*ies there, but if you were this will bring back memmories.

Thanks a lot folks. Tall Ships was a highlight for me. Playing with Francis and John felt like some serious prog heretage, even though what we played wasn't especially proggy. But some serious musical heretage whatever way you look at it. :)  Not to mention getting to sit on a chair at the back of the stage just behind where BBT were playing and cheering them on heartily. :)

Now then. Anybody free tomorrow evening and within driving distance of Maltby? If so there are stil some tickets left to see the great Davy O List supported by some fellow who calls himself the Mothster. (me). Yup, Tiger Moth Tales is supporting Davy O List of The Nice Fame, and I'm doing an hoour long set which is also nice. So if you're not to far away and you're fre, it'll be a great show I know, you won't be disappointed.

As a taster here's a sample of one of the tracks from Davy O List's new album which is a great vintage. :)

And, well you know what I sound like, but here's a video anyway. :) Please pass on this gig to anyone you think maybe interested. Maybe I'll see you there. :)

Likewise. Disgraceful you didn't have "The revenge of the return of the son of cocoon strikes back part 2 again" on sale
Pity about the glitch, but it didn't throw you off, well played sir.
Funniest thing I've seen for a while was Davy O'List's bass player waving his business card around in front of you as if you could take it off him. He was desperate for you to have it but couldn't work out what to do. Sort of like Davy O'List at the end of every track.......err excuse me but we've finished, clap please.

Hi folks. Wasn't sure where to post this but here's as gooderer place as any I guess. Just wanted to say a couple of things: Firstly how wonderful the Abel Ganz gig was and how great it was to bump in to a couple of you chaps up in Glasgow. Absolutely cracking night.
Secondly, A jolly proggy Christmas to all, and thanks so much for giving this moth a wonderful year. It seems like a long time ago now, but it was you chaps who gave me such encouragement and confidence last year with that Cocoon thing of mine, and this year has been such a great one with so many highlights and prog name dropping. :) And Mikey for I suspect I know what your comment will be, yes there will be some new music nexter year and hopefully in the not too distant future. I can't wait to see what 2016 will bring.
Finally, my last plug for the year:
just a quick reminder that until the end of December the TMT albums Cocoon and Story Tellers have a 20 percent discount off when you download them here:
https://tigermothtales.bandcamp.com
The discount codes for Cocoon and Story Tellers are xmastiger and xmasmoth respectively.
Also, don't forget I'll be donating proceeds from The Wasail Song EP and the Genesis covers album to the Guide Dogs charity, so if anybody is interested in those you can find them on the Bandcamp page too.
Ok, no more plugs until January I promise. :) Have a cool ule and here's to a cracking 2016. Mothster

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I announce that Tiger Moth Tales (I) will be opening up for the one ... the only ... MOON SAFARIIIIIIII! :)
http://www.teamrock.com/news/2016-02-17/tiger-moth-tales-to-support-moon-safari
Mr Jon Twang Patric is putting on a show with Moon Safari at the Borderline in London on Wednesday May the 11th. He very kindly asked me if I'd be interested in opening for these legends of modern prog. I had to think for 0 seconds before gratefully accepting.
The surreal thing is that it comes slap bang in the middle of rehearsals for the Camel shows, but Andy is ok with it. :)

Would love to come to that double-superstar gig, but a little tricky for me to come from the Netherlands since it's midweek, and I will actually have been in London for a gig the previous Saturday, namely to see (I can still scarcely believe this is possible) Lush at the Roundhouse.

I mean, Lush  8)

Hi folks. Just thought I'd say hello.
Well I guess moths do get to the moon sometimes. :) So who's coming to the Borderline next Wednesday (May 11th) to see the sublime Moon Safari doing their thing? And don't forget support by the adequate Tiger Moth Tales! Lol
If anybody's up for it you can find more info here:
http://theborderlinelondon.com/search/moon+safari
It would be absolutley wondreful to see some Frost*ies there and maybe have a crafty pint or 3. In an orderly manner of course. Lol

Then after that it's three days rehearsals with the cracking Camel chaps.
In the perhaps unlikely event that there's any folks coincidentally planning a trip to Japan and you fancy catching a Camel show, there's details at the Camel website:
http://www.camelproductions.com/
The next mothington outing will be with the Gift and We Are Kin in August, but that's a little while away. There will also be plenty of Tiger Moth Tales and Red Bazar gigs towards the end of the year including the tremendous Summers End. I'll keep all you strange yet highly loveable moth fanciers up to date as always. :)
So that's my little update, except to say that I'll have a little something out on Bandcamp very soon so that's something to look out for. Also, if any folks are stil wanting to by the Red Bazar album, it's here in hard copy:
www.whiteknightrecords.co.uk
Or as a download here:

Hi folks.
Blimy! This is coming up at a rate of knots! The next acoustic outing for Tiger Moth Tales will be on August 7th, at The Power Of Three event, The Lexington London. I'll be representing Tiger Moth Tales and sharing the bill with two superb prog bands, We Are Kin and The Gift. I worked with We Are Kin last year and they were finominal. I can't wait to hear tracks from the new album performed live. I've never met or seen The Gift, but I love their work so I'm muchly excited about that too. If you want to come to this fab show, please check the events page for more info.

More news! Extremely excited about this.. :)
Special announcement! Red Bazar and Tiger Moth Tales have been rehearsing for a double header on Wednesday 14 September at The Maze in Nottingham.
Tickets £5 on the door or £4 in advance from
www.themazerocks.com
We're very excited about this gig as it's the first time Red Bazr have played the new album, and the first time Tiger Moth Tales has gone out with a full band! From the TMT point of view, I'm looking at it by way of a warm up for Summers End, but if you don't mind being our guinaepigs, I can promise you a fantastic evening.
In the passed I would have posted a spoiler to show you how fab the bands are sounding, but I'm going to make you wait for the night, as I'm confident you won't be disappointed.
I'm especially hoping that the TMT and RB enthusiasts in the Nottingham and surrounding areas will try their best to come along, because this is the first time we've all played so close to home and I think it's going to be special. Also, it's a chance for those who couldn't make Summers End and the tickets are a steal!
Please click the link abuv for tickets, also for those on facebook there's an events page here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/968578676591497/
Put the date in your diaries, and please spread the word to the Nottingham prog massive. Many thanks and see you there.

Ok fellow Frost*ies. This is the one we've beeng working up to over the year. For those who have been holding out to see Tiger Moth Tales as a full band, it really is going to happen at long last. :)
Another date for your diaries folks! Wednesday September 14th at The Maise,
Nottingham.
http://www.themazerocks.com/gig/red-bazer-tiger-moth-tales-prog-rock-double-header
This will be the first time Red Bazar have played material from the new album
Tales From The Bookcase, plus it's the first ever full band Tiger Moth Tales
performance! I'm looking to the nottingham prog contingent of course as we are
local lads :) but all comers are most welcome and the more the merrier. Tickets
and more info can be obtained using the link abuv and At just £4 a time we
really plan to give you VFM. Lets make this one a big one folks. Thanks.

This is really shaping up now. :)
http://www.themazerocks.com/gig/red-bazer-tiger-moth-tales-prog-rock-double-header
It has been so gratifying to play with the Red Bazar guys and over time to realise that we really can do the material justice in a live situation. We're now going through the Red Bazar and Tiger Moth Tales sets in one go which is about two and a quarter hours worth. A new experience, and I think we're going to be able  to give you a cracking evening. Date, September 14th. Venue, The Maze in Nottingham. Do check out the link and join us if you can. After all, first times are special. :)

Thanks so much to Mr & Mrs Pedro, Mikey and any other Frost*ies - who I either didn't recognise or get chance to say hello to - for turning up. With it being a midweek gig it had all the hallmarks of a poor turnout, but the audience did us proud. It wouldn't have been the same without ya!  :D

I know it's dangerous, but I've been thinking   ;D ;D

Pound for pound this has to have been the best value gig in the history of best value gigs.

Ticket, including obligatory booking fee, 3 CD's and a pint all for less than the princely sum of 30 quid.  8) 8)

A toptastic gig & it didn't cost anything to travel either.

Oops. Haven't been on here for a bit as I went off to Skeg last week and didn't get on the tinterweb. As Gary said, thanks so much to those who turned out and made it such a fab night. Not that there is a boot leg, but if I were to listen to it, I bet the croud sounds twice the size it was. Lots of encouraging noises and the odd amusing remark. :) Oh and Mikey, that what you wrote there should be up on some review website / blog / thingy. Very kind words. :)
So as a warm up for Summers End I'm pretty chuffed with that. :) This weekend, we do the real thing. Blimy!

My goshly goodness! It's finally here. Summers End starts tomorrow and I'm stil over the moon that Tiger Moth Tales is opening for the Saturday line up. :) It's a huge compliment to the band and we can't wait. Also looking forward to the rest of the festival, especially to seeing bands like IQ, Ghost Comunity, Magic Pie and Karnataka. Adding to that I'll be meeting and spending time with fellow proggers and maybe one or two mothingtons. Here's to an amazing weekend! :)

Well that went well!
I've always had a pipe dream about being in a band wot played at Summers End. Now due to the herculean efforts and amazing talent of Peter Jones, that is a reality - so many thanks mate!
Stunning reaction from a packed audience, couldn't have wished for more :-)

Btw Mikey the old track was The Meet, from the last instrumental album Connections.

Hi folks. If you're going to see Frost or Lonely Robot at the Progdreams festival, you might be interested to know that if you're there on the sunday you can catch a set from Tiger Moth Tales too! You may have seen this but the fantastic Lifesigns have sadly had to pull out, which created a vacancy and the organisers asked us to fill it. Given the reputation of the festival and the rather fabulous lineup, we were very much up for it. :)
So I guess I'll be seeing some fellow Frost*ies there.
Unfortunately for us, Frost are headlining the Saturday show, and I'm not sure what time we'll arrive exactly on the Saturday, but hopefully we might be able to catch the set. If not, we'll definitely be around for Lonely Robot. :) Either way, we'll see some of you there I'm sure and we hope to prog your socks off with some mothy goodness.

Morning all! We are hard at it rehearsing Red Bazar and Tiger Moth Tales sets for the Bostern Music Rooms gig on Feb 26th. I don't like to blow our collective horns, but I think it's sounding pretty cool and it's great fun to power through 2 and a half hours of prog on a thursday night. :) We hope to rock your socks off at the gig, tickets for which are available here:
www.seetickets.com/event/tiger-moth-tales/boston-music-room.../103361...
Also really looking forward to meeting and hearing Dec Burke and his band. What with that, and being on the same bill as Frost and Lonely Robot at Prog Dreams, we're so close to playing with Frost it's rather crazy. Lol. Anyhow,  please spread the word to fellow proggers and we want to see you there. In the meantime, here's a taster:

:) Ah, and I forgot to say:
Hi Mothingtons and Bazarieans. I have been (and will be) promoting various Tiger Moth Tales and Red Bazar gigs, and I'm aware that posting all these things on various pages can get confusing and seem like I'm bombarding you all. :) So it's worth mentioning that most of the gig dates for 2017 can be found on the TMT website which I am at last attempting to update.
http://tigermothtales.com/gigs
I say most of the gigs, as there are others to come which have either not been technically announced yet, or the details are not yet finalised. However, as you'll see there's quite a few tasty shows coming up and I will continue to update the site as further gigs are announced. Much kudos to Neil Martin who runs the super fab website. :) Thanks folks and we look forward to playing for you over 2017. :)

On May 6th, Red Bazar and Tiger Moth Tales are doing a double header at the Wesley Senter at Maltby. It's a massive rush to be playing a CRS venue in our own right, so we really hope you can join us and we'll put on a stonking show for you. :) More info and tickets etc are available here: www.classicrocksociety.co.uk/shop/red-bazar-and-tiger-moth-tales/  So, who's up for it? :) Cheers!

Ahoy there! I'm sorry I've not been around here for a while, but it's been a bit of a crazy year so far with rehearsals and Camel gigs and other stuff. :)But I really should tell folks about this gig  which should be a top proggy night. The excellent Dave Kerzner band will be playing at the Robin 2 at Bilston on Sunday  July 22nd. Tiger Moth Tales (full band) will be playing a set too, and we're really looking forward to it as we haven't gigged for a while. Plus being back at the Robin 2 is always a pleasure and Dave's band will be great to hear again. :) Also the Sally Minnear acoustic duo are playing too, so you really must come along if you can. It will be a smashing night of prog in a fantastic venue! For more info and tickets, please click here:
