Quote from: "wickedwitch"not quite on topic (boom boom) but i had a deep fried mars bar in scotland  on saturday. it was surprisingly good!

We went to the Lake District last year and went to a chippy for lunch - after large portions of haddock and chips all round, my sons (then aged 11 and 13) decided that they wanted a deep-fried Mars Bar each as one of their scout leaders had recommended them. Andrew (13) ate all his; Oliver (11) managed about half of his. My husband and I had a bite of Oliver's one each and decided that we didn't want any more. We then returned to the holiday cottage, and Oliver spent all afternoon sitting by the loo complaining that he felt very sick.

He hasn't requested a deep fried Mars Bar since.

Quote from: "D S"I'd always thought that was an urban myth as I've never seen shops that sell them up here!  Where was that?

Still, they do deep fry pizzas in our local chippy- ugh!!!
edinburgh (just off the royal mile if i remember correctly) it tasted mostly like a nutella crepe but with a slight underscent of chips!

Quite so!
Isn't there a law against letting an underscent get out in public?
Something like "underscent exposure" I believe.
