Seriously, that's stunning! Must have been oceans there ages ago. Perhaps even primitive life forms such as musicians.

Yes, I got excited for a moment  :oops:  but I've corrected my post.  :)
While I was gawping at how cool it looks a little voice in my head was saying; "...but they said it would be a week before they get colour pictures so this can't be Curiosity...and that doesn't look much like Curiosity does it...and you've been visiting the NASA site two or three times a day and not seen this...and you really want a biscuit right now"....and yet I still thought it was Curiosity. #justabigkidreally

I'm not going to have to get all astronerd picky with you here now, am I?  :twisted:

JiB already has the Galaxy in there; it's the Milky Way.

But, if he could afford to scatter many Galaxies in the distant background beyond the Milky Way, we might be talking cosmology.

Who's willing to donate to his chocolate bar fund?  He only needs to buy a a few hundred billion ...  ;)
