Title: YouTube Symphony Orchestra - Competition Deadline 28/01/09
Post by: Pedro on January 10, 2009, 10:54:40 AM
Don't know if anyone is interested (looks rather serious but that might not be a bad thing! ;) )....

YouTube are calling for audition videos from musicians as they attempt to put together this orchestra. There is a real composition to download, learn and play and the prize appears to be a trip to play the thing with all the other winners at Carnegie Hall!

Details begin here (//http://uk.youtube.com/symphony).

I haven't spotted a part for spoons yet.... :?

But I'd hope you're lining yourself up for the video...

I used to be second cellist in the Norfolk Youth Symphony Orchestra rather more years ago than I care to remember.

I've always wanted to play in my school's full orchestra.

Unfortunately, the classical snobs in the past deemed the saxophone "inappropriate" for classical settings.

Yeah, right.
