We took in a stray cat last week - it stayed with us for about 2 days and even it did that weird doormat thing - so from my recent experience all cats do it!

Well it's not like it should surprise any of us, what album doesn't leak weeks if not months before release? Ayreon's last album was leaked quite a while before it was to be released... I actually am surprised about how long it took for EIMA to get leaked; I guess the rippers aren't big Frost* fans :p

Anyway, I'd expect anyone desperate enough to grab the leak right now to also buy the album eventually, as I obviously am. If not, leaked or not, they most likely weren't going to buy it anyway :p

Go buy the CD, as I am in the process of doing, on the new super dooper web shop - and wait to be extremely pleased when it arrives.

I don't know what is about Frost*, but for some reason this is really the only band that I am loyal to. I mean other will download there music and if i really buy like I'll buy it. But all the guys in Frost* really aren't like most people in the music industry. Thats why I like to support all of them. I mean I already bought the album ( a signed copy of course).

I still can't believe that someone who received a promo copy made it available on the web - what a c*ck!

Yeah, I can see why you'd want to download an album you haven't heard - especially by a band you haven't heard (hell, it's how I first discovered most of the bands I listen to these days - including Frost*), but when it comes to putting up promos before the retail version is out it's no longer about wanting to hear something you've never heard before or sharing something you love with people who might never have heard it otherwise. When someone puts up a promo it's really just that they want to be the "glory" of being the first one to spread it.
If you're not entirely sure that you want a new album by a band you've already heard - fine, check it out before making the commitment to buy. However, there's no way you can trick me into believing that you're in *that* much of a hurry to hear an album you're not even sure you're going to want.

As for being a Frost*ie desperate to hear the album you've been waiting for and looked forward to hearing for a really long time - that's a whole different story. (;-)

I heard frost* for the first time after a friend downloaded Milliontown and gave me a copy as he thought it was something I might like.  Of course I loved it so went out and bought the album :)

As admitted before, I discovered Frosted Jems via a music blog, and bought the CD as I try to do with all the music I like.

I hate waiting, I am going to order the non special edition album on Friday when funds come in (as an ex student these are in short supply for the time being grrr!) but after reading this topic I curiously tried to track down the album. You'd be pleased (or mad? after past blogs on the issue of piracy) to know that it was quite difficult and I actually found it on only one site. Nada in Bittorrent (excluding tour CD, which I didn't download) - I don't use Limewire so can't tell you status of software like that.

I probably sound hypocritical but leaking/posting an album up is something I'd personally never do, despite believing piracy is over-emphasised by record companies and is actually good promotion. I have a promo copy of an album sent to me by another artist but I'd never ever dream of posting it. Maybe with the promo copies you could have created some kind of unique audio feature in a certain track which would identify the cheeky culprit.

So sorry about downloading... haven't actually listened yet as I do feel a tad guilty... but please, don't call it a lost sale because it flipping well isn't!

Looks like someone's tracked down the offending blogger and had them remove it (or they've done it of their own accord).

So I am in India but thanks to the incredible generosity of Mr Godfrey I have been enjoying EIMA for the last 2 weeks and fuck a duck (quack quack) what a gorgeous wee thing it is (BTW Jem I have a Dalek with your name on it which Mrs Fergey has to send you along with some other stuff...)

Falling Down - 3.10 in, is the best band on the planet? and that piano!!!! For reasons, I'm satisfied! you wee cheeky fat pianist you read my mind

You/I - Perfection in just a tad over 1 minute, an adjunct to Picture from kKno. Mr G my cap is truely doffed

Toys - Yes Yes Yes. This is the perfect pop song. and the splash cymbal at 1:35 is perfect too. In years to come Andy will be recognised for the brilliance of his work on this and rightly so. Listen to what his feet are doing on this

Wonderland - Rightly or wrongly the track that will get all the prog purests going (wrongly in my opinion, there is more here to get excited about)

So what of EIMA? I loved/love it. Jem has instilled a much needed sensibility into the album and fuck me it is a brilliant shiny wee thing. It is hard as some if the tracks, thanks to the Frost Reports, are familiar but holy moley in all their official brillance they are brilliant.

Listen, enjoy, share and buy at least 1 tshirt (the Egyptians love them!)

I followed the LFE route and downoaded the the album from eMusic after postie handed me a sheaf of boring crap this morning. Can't stop playing the thing, of course!  :D

It sounds to me like Mr Kettley with his shipping forecast has been beaten to within an inch of his scrambled bits before the secret song but it could be Jem reading the instructions for a for a flat-pack gazebo for all I know - I haven't listened that closely. I have even less clue if that bit of audio could be recovered - without the help of Chloe from CTU rerouting the feeds via a secure buffer matrix on the mainframe....  ;)  

Yes, there's at least two chunks of morse-like stuff in there but so far I'm coming up with gibberish from it. I thought it was going to say something like "Its written in morse" but my dits and dahs are nothing if not rusty. The main problem is detecting the gaps between letters, particularly if they have been squezzed in places to make the code more rhythmic for the benefit of the music. When I put morse into HyperOrchestrate it was very tempting to ruin the morse cos it made for a better groove....wonder if morse operators ever accidentally "get with the beat"?  :)  

Anyway, on top of all this I have GuitarHero IV sitting waiting to be got into, people that want feeding, a body that seems to want to do the whole snoring thing again (Jeez it only seems like 22 hours since the last time! :roll: )!

Then there is LittleBigPlanet....it takes so long to get one 12 second scene set-up and running half-decently....tweak, try, fails, tweak, try, worse, tweak, try, better, re-think, rinse & repeat....only another 2 minutes 54 seconds to fill.... :roll:

Even the mighty Pedro is humbled by the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day, and that he has a real life (sounds like many lives) to live  :shock:

If by "mighty" you mean "full of might"....as in "might mow the lawn", "might finish decorating the bathroom" and so on, then you have me fully mapped out!  ;)

As far as I know, mine hasn't arrived yet, but even if it did, it's being delivered to work, as nobody will be home. :(
