There you go mate. This one seems to be going for £39.99 or slightly more in other places, so this is a bargain. I would have recommended the Roland DP-2 but that's non-latch only.

I rely on MIDI controller assignments myself for making stuff toggle, but a lot of my gear doesn't take kindly to being stamped on :P

And nothing wrong with the DS-2, mind you. I put my MT-65 through one a while back. Much cleaner sound than with a lot of pedals, though I'm again biased with using software more often...

(feeble attempt to turn thread into discussion :P)

Listening back to this section I can actually hear it now, but I think it so deserved to be a little more prominent, it really is incredible. It sits incredibly well in the last mix as a little nuance, but listening to it full on- Yikes! I love it   Now I see what Jem meant about

neeeeeoooeoeoeeeeoooo

Bravo! Thanks for letting us get a proper listen to this proper good bit of playing :D

Crikey! :D You say he can do the guitar all the way through, even the solo? I'd love to see that. I'm rubbish at guitar solos :D

Oh bugger it. Are the files being flown about for any given reason, or would I be allowed to have a delve into the world of Godfrey and see what I can do with my X8, since Uni took up all my time and I just use it as a giant sample bank at the moment.

I splurged out on Battery 3 as it was eighty quid off at my local music shop. Result :D

I have my eye constantly on the V Synth GT, which I wish I could afford. Also considering upgrading my still brand new interface with something a little more advanced.

But right now, I've got to find more work. And there isn't any.

That's mad. I honestly didn't know the bass followed those crazy bits, but I'd expect nothing less! Bravo on the cover, you're bloomin fab at the bass, despite yours looking more like a chapman stick

I remember one gig we were forced into sleeping rough. We saw The Boredoms in Glasgow, and they played ove their slot. By three hours. Best gig ever. But hey. We waited outside to meet them- the only ones who did, then after much unnecessary verbal/gestural translation we ended up in this late night builders greasy spoon playing amazingly out of date music, and I'm talking 'It wasn't Me" and other such treasures from at least a decade ago at the time.
It was mid November so like hell were we going to get any sleep, so we played a game to appreciate the warmth of walking around. There was four corridors which compromised this bus station, and in each there was a digital clock halfway along the ceiling, which did not have a second indicator. We would walk around until we came to one of these clocks, but would not walk under it until the minute changed.

Then we became delirious and sleep deprived and played a game of chess with our lunchboxes on the tiled floor.

I have avoided sleeping rough before though, the last bus from our gig seeing The Flaming Lips was full, so about seven of us piled into a taxi and split the fare from Glasgow to Edinburgh. £170 overall !

So the next time you're called by a tele-marketer, don't groan and insist you're not interested, you might get a job. :D
Or he's very good at tele-marketing and makes up bull shit while he's at it.  :D
Hope this in genuine. Sounds a bit funky to me honestly.....  :?

I doubt he'd get away with it, call was being recorded, I could have him fired tomorrow. :P

Quote from: "dtscape10"Jem - Thanks for the suggestion but I'm still not having any luck I tried it and It came up with an error message!!! :?

LeonH - It's a great keyboard but I've come to the conclusion that what I have already will do what i want it too... I love the sounds of the X but I'm not keen on this whole preset/user setup. I'm used to using Korgs which you can type a number in to get to the patch (which you can do on the G's now) and also edit that sound and save it there, rather than having to save it else where(in the user patches). The piano's are far superior to what I use at the moment but, in all honesty, no one round here is going to care!!! Not on the pub scene anyway!!!
I'm still selling it but I am in no rush... If I sell it I'll probably buy something else but if I don't I'm not too worried at the moment. I like using it as a practice keyboard that I can leave setup all the time. ;)
My original intention was to shrink my rig down to just 2 keyboards (Korg Triton Classic 61 , with scsi moss board and 64ram,& Roland Fantom X7) instead of 3 (Korg Triton, 01/Wfd and Roland D50) but I realised that old saying... If it ain't broke don't fix it!!! :D

Pedro - I'm going to fireup that PocketSun and steel that pccard from him!!!!   That should do it....... :D

Look at the X's pads. They have numbers too, you can use those to go to specific patches also, and the organization of Rolands patches far surpass Korgs. My main issue with Korg is that to get decent sounds you need to construct them from the ground up, there are no bread and butter sounds, all the patches are made to sound flashy and you can write a song just by hitting one of the pads and playing along, which feels a bit of a cheat...

Friends Of Frost* / I soundtracked another iPhone game :)
September 15, 2010, 04:03:10 PM
Hey guys. I should've posted this earlier, but I forgot to!

Well I bagged another commission a while ago. I did the full soundtrack for it, and it has been very well received in reviews and people who bought the game also like it. :D

There's a free version with ad's you can bag, and it's actually a really fun game, too. Silly, but fun.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/traffic- ... 61744?mt=8

From Appsafari.com:
QuoteI was surprised how easy it was to understand this game once you actually play it. The first thing to mention is that the sound track is funky. It has a nice beat to it and the title "Traffic Flow" has some groovy, less serious presentation.

Any Other Business / Completely out of the blue..
September 15, 2010, 03:54:25 PM
So I'm doing some work for my new client, and the phone rings. "Bugger." I think to myself, that'll be either Scottish Hydro or O2 again. They have been phoning daily, despite my request to stop calling at this time. So I answer and it's this very cheery bloke from O2, who gives me the same lowdown on their services, but this time I manage to get quite far. He tells me I would at this time only be eligible for 20GB a month. I tell him due to the fact I am a musician I do a lot of recording work which gets sent via email and Dropbox and pair that with my movie rentals from iTunes and my online gaming that would disapear in no time. So we talk a little bit more about potential future options, and then he comes completely out of nowhere:

"Okay, so I heard you talk about music, well as well as working for O2 I am also a manager for a singer in the US who has just released a new single. I know that this is all about making new contacts."

I tell him I spend a lot of my time going to networking events looking for work, he takes my contact details and says he'll be in touch.

I have always associated that section with sounding like the old Sonic music.

So this is like.

Fuck.

Wow.

Is there a Mac AU that does this? I am intrigued, I want to try it! I didn't know you could still make Sega music xD
