I think it was on Spotify at midnight Frost* time.

https://thetrichordist.com/2016/05/26/songwriter-would-need-288-million-spins-to-equal-average-spotify-employee-salary/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

:(

As terrible as this is, I think pretty much everyone who is on this forum will be buying a physical copy anyway so listening on Spotify only throws more (albeit fractions of) pennies into the Frost* pot.

That's me. My order will arrive sometime in the next few weeks but in the meantime I'm also subscribed to spotify premium for 10$ a month so I think I'm doing my bit.

Frost* / Title of Frost* album number 3?
December 25, 2015, 07:58:06 PM
New blog update from Jem over at http://britishwintertime.com/ had this interesting tidbit

QuoteThe tracklist is finalised – Day One, Numbers, Towerblock, Lights Out, Signs, Sunlight. Slightly embarrassing that I've had to hoof off "British Wintertime", but time constraints have made it essential. The whole thing is just over an hour long as it is.

Since he started this latest blog I've been laboring under the assumption that the new record would be called British Wintertime but now I suppose that's out. It will now become a bonus track or a future release of some kind.

For Canada (or at least Montreal and Quebec)  I would suggest getting in touch with the folks who run this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LaCapitaleDuProg?fref=ts   They've been the promoters for many prog gigs in the last few years and haven't gone under yet so they must be doing something right.

edit:  this is their website  http://jlcmusik.com/index_en.php

I'll never get why he says things like this:

"I do hope people understand that I'm not just about 64th notes and going "Waaaaaa" over a ton of chords."

Did anyone ever think this?  Is that what Frost* was?  Seriously Mr. Godfrey...

That new year's message has now been deleted it seems, his twitter profile pic is now "microwave recipes for one" and his description a "walloping great tart" ...   does anyone have more news from Jem?

I guess what it comes down to, and I realise I'm stating the obvious here so bear with me, is that Jem does not care if there is an audience or not,  He's grateful for whatever response he gets when he puts out something or does a gig, but it doesn't really matter in the end.  So the ins and outs of keeping a band going , wich he doesn't have time for anyway, don't matter.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this:

Reading some of Jem's replies you might just think that Frost* is mothballed for a while. I don't really care what genre, tag, bandcamp or label you want to put it in I just hope he carries on entertaining me with excellent music, on his own or with JM, Blunders and Nate!

Look, we all love Jem. But you guys have to admit that this constant backwards and forwards on Frost* is getting a little ridiculous now no?  Those comments weren't that bad , they didn't attack Jem personally or anything.  So what if not everybody knows the minute details of Jem's career and they only know Frost* as a band, it's not their fault.
