I loved the Edinburgh gig.

Jem, it was a pleasure to finally meet you (and John, Nathan and Craig) at the gig.  You're all bloody amazing musicians (your good self being one of my musical heroes so to meet you was very special to me) and great comedians as well to boot.

So looking forward to seeing you guys again in April 2017 at The Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh.

What-ho!!!  ;)

I still love "Falling Satelleetez" and regularly play it in the car.  There's no chance of it going stale on me.  It sounds so refreshing and it rocks!!!

Can't wait to see them again in April 2017.   :D

The G3 with Satch, Vai and Fripp was bizarre - I saw it in Glasgow.  It opened with Fripp's solo set but all he did was create one of his electronic soundscapes (with him just sitting there) - a lot of people who'd come to hear shredding just went to the bar.  :-[  Then when the 3 of them played together at the end, Fripp took a guitar solo on Satch's Ice 9 and totally out-shredded Vai and Satch!  :o
I was at that gig as well.  It could've easily just been called G2. After the show I had a meet and greet with Satch and Vai and their session players including the fantastic Billy Sheehan who I chatted to with great interest.  There was no sign of Fripp anywhere.  Out of sight, out of mind.  haha

I'm happy to report that the lovely Nellie replaced my copy at the Edinburgh gig tonight.

And Jem, John, Nathan and Craig all signed it. And so did the album cover designer Paul Tippett.  :D

In related news, I now know what the W's stand for.  ;D
:D

And the M is for Mark.  ;)

Gigs / Re: Frost gigs June 2016!!!

Hey guys!!!!

The Edinburgh gig was just simply phenomenal. Jem, John, Nathan and Craig all played an absolute blinder.  I took lots of photos so if you want to see them all then befriend me on Facebook (my real name is William Winsborough).

Nellie was kind enough to exchange my defective vinyl copy of Falling Satellites and after the gig, I got to meet and have a chat with the guys. They are all so down to earth.

For those that are still to see the band on the upcoming tour, you are all surely in for a treat.  :D

Now I need to go to bed.  ;)

Hurrah!!!

I'm going to the Edinburgh gig too.

A whole bunch of us will be there to cheer the boys on.

Who else here is going tomorrow night?

And I thought I was the only one that had that same problem.

I'm so glad I'm not alone.

Another issue I've got is that every time the CD goes back to the beginning, it gets louder each time. I don't know how to rectify this.

Perhaps you and the boys could sign my new copy after the gig Jem? That would be sweet.  :D

I'm happy to confirm that they are indeed happy to sign FS album covers afterwards  ;D
And that my replacement plays perfectly - thank you Nellie

Nice one L33VEY. Were you at the Reading gig last night?

I'm at the Edinburgh gig tomorrow night. Can't wait!!!  :D

Sorry everyone, I have neglected this forum for a while.
There is a small number of copies of the clear vinyl that has a stamp sized scratched area on (I think) side 2 of the first LP. I would like everyone to send them back to me, or at least the faulty disc so that I can count all the dodgy ones and replace them.
One problem is that if there are loads, I don't have enough held back to replace them and they will have to be black vinyl.
I have one box (10) in reserve that I will take on tour to replace any that need replacing, after that they will need to be sent to me in the post.
Hi Nellie,

I hope I'm still ok to get a replacement in Edinburgh?  That's if you don't give away all your 10 reserves tomorrow night.  ;D

Thanks for the heads up. Very sorry about this, it disappointing considering what it cost to make.

I think my copy has it too actually! Nellie and I were on it to Inside Out today, Nellie is replacing as many as she can with the stock we have left, I'll keep the pressure up with the manufacturers in the meantime.

Again sincere apologies for this.   :(

Jem

Jem, you have nothing to apologise for. These things happen and can't be helped mate. I was actually happy to keep my copy but Nellie kindly offered to give me a new one which I will swap with my dodgy one with her at the Merch desk at the Edinburgh gig on Friday.

Perhaps you and the boys could sign my new copy after the gig Jem? That would be sweet.  :D

Hi guys. I'm loving the new album more  and more with every listen. Well done on such a fantastic album.

I would like to bring your attention to a slight defect on side 2 of the first LP at the very start of the record and the introduction of "Lights Out".

There is a very noticeable scratch sound which is a little annoying but doesn't disrupt my enjoyment of the album. I have a clear vinyl copy of the album.  How do I post pics of it from my iPhone?

Does anyone else with a vinyl copy have the same issue?

Not looking for a replacement or anything, just thought I should point it out.

And now, back to the music........

Hey gang!!  Long time no see. It's been a while since I've been on here but you know what, I'm glad I'm still a member of this great forum.

I have received my "clear vinyl" copy of the new Falling Satellites album today which comes with a complimentary CD as well.

What a stunning album. My favourite album of 2016 for definite!!! Love it. Love it. LOVE IT!!!!!

And well done to my friend Paul Tippett who designed the album cover and artwork. Amazing stuff!!!!

I'm one happy Frost*ie this morning!!  ;D
