It gives me the greatest of pleasures to announce that .. 2 J'S AND AN A has a new confirmed date. It is (insert drum roll here please)
SATURDAY 7th NOVEMBER TICKETS FOR SEPT 5th Will BE VALID.
If this date is a problem and you've already bought tickets please phone 020 8546 3516.
REMEMBER that TINYFISH AND DeEXPUS will be playing The Peel on Sat Sept 5th. Obviously we need to pay thge bands so we now do it as a fresh gig.

Hopefully TINYSFISH can also do the new date, this is dependant on if Jim can get back in the UK on that date. :D More news when we or you get to hear it first lol.
Possibly stupid question alert, but will the ticket I've originally got for the 5th still be valid on the 5th? Or will I have to buy a new one if it's a fresh gig? That could persuade me to turn up on the 5th as well if I've already got a ticket for it. :)

I would think that it would be valid for either date but give Twangers a call just to make sure.

Sorry if I'm labouring this but the other question is 'are the same tickets now no longer valid for Sept 5th?'
This becomes slightly academic in our case because I've found that I can amend our Travelodge booking for just a fiver. Of course this means we'll be paying almost £50 for a room which can currently be booked for just over £30 but compared to the cost of a completely separate gig trip (fuel + tix + hotel + merch + meals) it is still less strain on the wallet.
Sad not to be coming to see Tinyfish (again) and Deexpus (yet) but got to draw the line somewhere. :(
I took from Twang's post about "the bands need to be paid" that you'll need to buy a new ticket if you want to come and see Tinyfish on the 5th.
Anyone planning to go still? I know us Frost*mates are... :D
I'm certainly hoping to, particularly if I can arrange to share transport there (I have a 4h drive up to Liverpool on the Sunday, and a 4h drive home again on Monday, so if I can avoid driving for 4h on Saturday I'll be there!)

EDIT: having just noticed what Cosmic mentioned in the other thread I might attend on the 7th of November too and go see Threshold in London on the 8th.
Thinking about finances and college work, I probably won't be able to make the 7th. I'll still look into the possibility, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Hope my ticket will be valid for the 5th...

Mouse - Twang will swap the 2Js and an A ticket in November for the Tinyfish one in September. I'm sure that they'll both be £10. So, it really is up to you which one you go to.

There is a slim chance, with it being "just up the road" so no overnight and my gig buddy to contribute to fuel. ;)

I'll tell you all I know as I owe you lovely people at least that what with all the buggering around I've made you do with this poxy wrist.
I'd love for Tinyfish to still join us for the November show at the Peel. I have to confess I've not asked Simon yet, I'll mail him later and see what he says.
We're also trying to fit a couple of other shows in around this time, hopefully in Wales and in the Midlands somewhere. They'll most likely be double headers with other, as yet, unspecified bands. I'd love to do the Wales one with Magenta and maybe the MIdlands one too, but they're getting back to me on that concept as they're very busy as individuals around that time. Also, it's highly doubtful that Andy can do all the gigs what with his beautiful new daughter to look after and his busy teaching schedule, so the equine and lithe Mr Nathan King has agreed to join us for any dates that TBE can't make which is great news.
Depending on how these first 3 shows are received, we might do some more later on to try and reach the outlying parts of the UK that normally get overlooked, but we'll see how we go to start with.
That genuinely is all I know at the moment, so we're all square. As soon as I know anything new, I'll be straight back on here! :D

The islington Carling academy bar is a nice venue its upstairs from the main hall and is quite small which seems to be what jem is looking for also its just up the road from me :lol:

It's probable that I've cocked this up again and missed out on getting tickets for 2 J's and an A on 7th November since I was not sure if this gig would be completely cancelled to Mr Godfrey's War Wound.
Are there any left and what is the ostensible damage if so?

Can I just say that Traveldoge KuT Central is... central. A mere stone's throw away from The Flighty Clacks (?) and almost a straight road thenceforth to the Peel, which was especially helpful last Sat night apres beer and carrying Pizza's.
Also, there are mountains of breakfast related items in the "cafe/bar" at, errr, breakfast time.
And, godammit, there are about three car parks close by too. Ideal hang out, if you ask me.
I realise you all probably know this, but I get quite excited when I work things out like this.

Rob Reed told me this weekend that The Globe in Cardiff had been shut down for the same reason they closed The Point. We wanted to do a double header with Magenta there as part of the J and A thing.

When did Rob tell you that last I heard from the globe is that yes their having the same problems as the point with regards to complaints about noise but their still open as usual.

I spoke with the guys from The Reasoning as their booked to play at The Globe at the end of November they've been told by the globe that their is an appeal process under way and the venue is safe until Xmas at least

I'll announce confirmations asap, but currently it's looking like The Rainbow in Birmingham on Nov 5th, the Peel on Nov 7th and The Globe in Cardiff on Nov 8th, I'm seeing if we can do the 8th as a double header with Magenta, Rob's not got back to me yet.
I'll know much more tomorrow so hold off on kindly booking anything just yet.
