I sincerely apologise for the situation TA. Rob Reed and Tigermoth filmed, edited, repro'd and handled the distribution for the Blu-Ray as that stuff is way above my capabilities and I think there was some confusion about how the website handled the international postage. I did talk to him about it so he was aware there were problems. I hope you managed to resolve it. Sorry again!

    

Thank you for all the footage! I'm happy to announce that the Dingwalls gig is in the bag, supremely expertly edited by our very own Chippy Minton. The words "Silk Purse" and "Sow's ear" spring to mind. He did an incredible job on it.

The plan is for a digital release at the moment as the repro costs are too high for what I expect to be a limited amount of interest worldwide.

The plus side of that is that it'll always be available and never out of print like Island Live currently is, but we're also planning to make that digitally available too. More news soon on all this stuff.

Hello! Blimey you're still here! 

We've put it back out as people kept emailing me saying they wanted to buy it so I figured I'd tweak TDL at the same time. The RoSFest gig is exactly the same as I don't have the multitrack master anymore so if you already have the album, you're not missing anything other than the TDL mix.

Falling Down was dropped as I wanted the gig to be as authentic as possible. Anybody who was at the show will remember the backing vocals not being quite as in tune as they appear on the album version. 

ONE reason. 

It's the same reason that our version of No Me No You that we did at that gig never saw the light of day either.

I originally bought MTown from iTunes and loved it so much I had to get the CD. Well, when the 2013 remix was released on Bandcamp, I couldn't help myself, and I'm so glad I got it because the mix has a vinyl LP-like warmth I love. Absolutely worth it. I will likely buy the TPE remix for TDL alone on the chance I may have a similar experience.

Thank you. Personally I think it's a much better version of TDL, most of all because I'm not now in the absolute depths of depression. Depression hampers mixing I now know.

Not to put a downer on it or anything..

It's still my fave Frost track for the sheer mania of it. I just wish it was doable live...

Perhaps if we expand to a 9 piece...

I never noticed FD wasn't on the Bandcamp version. I haven't heard Jem explain why, but I bet if you ask him, there'll be four reasons, FOUR REASONS...

Thank you lovelies!! A bit late of me to reply, but it's been a whirlwind of a month what with the boat n all. Very excited about that as you can imagine.

Had a lovely day anyways! I got a globe that hangs in a magnetic field from my mum. The kids thought it was witchcraft, but undeterred, managed to break it within 2 hours. Kids eh!

So... we got a piano a few months ago. A beautiful Yamaha grand now lives in my lounge, to my utter astonishment.The kids started plonking away on it, and adamantly did not want me to show them anything. Imagine my surprise walking into the house hearing Mr 8 year old playing what was recognisably an attempt at Hyperventilate! Not exactly right, but I knew exactly what he was attempting. He had even enlisted Ms 5 Year old sister to "play this low note" because he couldn't get to it in time, but he felt it should be there.

Now Ms 5YO has a boom box and a selection of CDs she requested (Ayreon, Frost, Steven Wilson, etc) but Milliontown and Falling Satellites are pride of place. In fact the awful cacophony from yesterday turned out to be a music war where both kids were in their own bedrooms attempting to drown each other out with Milliontown (about 2 minutes out of sync).

So Jem, you are inspiring a new generation of kids in the same way Floyd, Zeppelin and Yes inspired me as a youngster

What is it with Frost* and rubbish venues?

I had to leave early last night before I fainted in the heat. I was gutted to do so; but it was either that or pass out.

The previous time I saw our beloved band was that Peel Christmas gig, which was equally bad. Well, the music was good, but the venue again rubbish. I see a trend here... even if there is ever another tour I think I'll be giving it a miss as I am sadly too old to cope with the sort of conditions we had last night 

I hope it was better for everyone else...

In our defence...I must respectfully disagree with your "What is it with Frost and rubbish venues" remark. Every single gig bar that one on this tour was fine. If there's any blame on our part, it was attempting to play outside the usual prog "ghettos". We underestimated the Cambridge turnout to be honest as we were trying to step away from London for which we have been previously criticised for focussing too much on.

I completely agree that the gig was oversubscribed, but the legal capacity is 209. I can't legislate for the venues we hire, we work on the info we're given in good faith. To accuse us, the band, of playing "rubbish venues" is like accusing F1 teams of racing at badly designed circuits. I will happily carry the can for many things, but you can't blame us for trying to do our best at a venue we've never played before.

With the Peel, again we were at the behest of the promoter. If they say it will be fine, we must trust them. We're only there for a single night. We don't own or run these venues, we turn up in good faith, as indeed do you guys. The band aren't the bad guys here if there indeed need to be bad guys so please don't tar us with that particular brush.

Hello all,

I've not forgotten about you honest. I'd just forgotten how time consuming it is to run this thing when it's going full steam.

What with the day job, finishing the album, sorting the gigs, doing all the promo and dealing with my dad's death in January, it's been a pretty intense 7 months. The response to the album has been fantastic and I want to thank everyone here who's helped spread the word, I don't think we've ever had as much exposure before or indeed as much love from the wider world. It's been amazing.

Thanks also to everyone who's come down to see us thus far. We've had a great time playing and all 4 of us are keen to do more having forgotten how much fun we have when we do eventually get together on a stage. The boys have astounded me nightly with their efforts and I'm honoured that they take the time to make space for this thing as they're all so super busy all of the time.

The next 4 shows will be an evolution of the first 4 as we've now had a chance to get a bit more comfy with the new stuff. I'm back down to a single keyboard for starters and the MIDI ironing board is restored and ready to go.

Once this run of gigs is done I'm going to take a bit of a break as I've been on the Frost* ride-on mower since May '15 pretty much and I'm finally feeling a bit jaded now. However I plan to get back at it with the remainder of the material I have here over this coming winter and then we'll be back out again, this time focussing on the EU next spring.

Before that though we have Ramblin' Man in Kent on the 23rd of this month (on at 2pm I think), Thekla in Bristol on the 29th, London on the 30th (Sold Out) and The Portland Arms in Cambridge on the 31st (5 tickets left).

Come and say hello if you're coming down to any of these. We do potter out afterwards looking for people to talk to.

The solo happened coz we were improvising. The Other Me is turning into a bit of a jam now and the solo just happened to kick off on Saturday. The "watch" bit was totally new to us as you can see from the reaction.
