Was wondering what became of an EP that was being talked about post-EIMA, including stuff from those sessions like '1976'?
There will be definitely be a release with the aforementioned tracks plus a couple of others.
The parish news as it stands now though is that we're moving at Christmas to deepest North Somerset-shire and the new place has no Cube so I need to renovate and convert the derelict stone store house which will take a while especially in the deep midwinter. It needs a roof for starters...
In the meantime, I'll be in the study in the house which, frankly, won't be the same.
On the plus side, when it is completed, my new studio will have both a control room and a live room. Finally I can record everything on site - drums and everything! :D
So once it's is up and running (I realistically expect it to take about 6 months as nobody is going to tackle a roofless stone shed in the deep mid winter) he Frost e.p. will be the perfect way to give the place a proper shakedown.
But fear not, these songs will see yonder light of day one way or the other. :D
Obviously, this is all subject to us being able to successfully move to the new place which, as anyone who's ever moved house will tell you, is in no way a dead cert. There's still plenty of shit that could, and most likely will, go wrong.
Jem, hope all goes well with the sales process and move. Will see you at The Rainbow on the 5th.
PS Any "possible" release dates earmarked for TPE ?? Or pre-order dates ??
It's looking very much like it'll be early 2010 now unfortunately. I've mixed both versions (the CD and the WAV mixes - wait till you hear Milliontown and Falling Down! :D) and the DVD is done and dusted too. The artwork is nearly ready too, but we've pretty much run out of time what with prep for the Esoteric gigs, moving house and what have you in order to get it out before Santa empties his sack over all of us.
I tried my damndest I promise, but I missed the deadline by hours rather than days which is pretty frustrating.
Sorry about that. :?
Oh well, I'll have to wait a few more weeks. :(
Appreciate all the hard work it must take, though!

Yep, agree, you sort your life out, I think we can wait a tad longer. :D
Sorry if it sounded like I was being pushy. :(
Obviously my main motivation in the original question was more to make sure the Frosties around the world can be on standby ready to order as soon as it's orderable so as to a) get TPE as soon as is humanly possible, and b) make Jem look popular ;)
Having beeen working on mixing and editing together some live tracks by my own band I appreciate what is required
All good things come to those that wait, eh
Quote from: "Mooncat"The Philidelphia Experiment - Coming Soon to some crackers near you.......
Nice 8-)
Thanks.
I did mail Jem with a visual concept for the disc, being a cracker/biscuit with a frosterisk in Philadelphia (A soft speady cheese for those outside the UK) on it.
Apparently too late as VitP was already at work......................... 8-)

Just when I'd finally blocked the memory of my hazing at altar boy boot camp...
I think I can wait myself. I'm actually interested in seeing what the Cube mkII is gonna look like.
It's gonna be a while by then but I believe it will be the ultimate space station for which many
songs FROST* or otherwise shalt be born unto.
Take your time and get things sorted Jem. None of us are going anywhere. We'll all still be here
when the EP is ready for purchasing. :)
And that is why you lot are so completely brilliant and I love every one of you. :D
Why are you moving, btw?

I think he likes cider. :?
Fingers crossed for Cube mk II Frost* Reports. :D

There are too many of us now in this little house on the hill. Plus I hardly ever have the need to go into London anymore so I'm not tied to the expensive South East. I've been able to buy the entire of Somerset and a sizeable chunk of Devon with the same money that one would spend on a small hole in the ground covered with a sheet of tarpaulin in Islington.

If it all actually happens (buying houses in the UK is a notoriously unreliable procedure), you have my word. :D

And you could have bought the whole of Wales for the same money too

Not Scotland though (sheep are expensive don't you know!)

But they have, like, 12 million of them in Wales - that must cost a lot! (:-P

Very true, more sheep than people :D
Indeed! When I was in Wales I was informed that it was 4 to 1! You'd better watch out if they ever rise against the humans...

We'll never go hungry, but there may not be enough mint sauce though :)
Thanks for the update Jem - looking forward to it!
In the meantime, good luck with the move and the gigs! Wish I was able to make it to one of them...
Let me be the first to welcome you to deepest darkest North Somersetshire... Hope the move goes smoothly. Not all of us wear smocks, go oooo arrrr a lot and drive tractors (well, not that we admit! ;) )
Why thank you! :D We still might not make it of course, but me and Mrs G are hoping with every fibre of our Godfrey beings that we will. It's a lovely part of the universe and no mistake guv'nor.
Quote from: "eponymous"I have so many sillyish questions...
Quote from: "eponymous"Is the old stone storehouse/shed in fact cubicle in nature?
It's more oblong-ish. It was 2 stables apparently. I'm most likely going to R.I.P. the Cube name and go with something new. The Shithouse perhaps...
Quote from: "eponymous"Are the phone boxes/Tardises (Tardi?) making the trip as well?
They are. The Police Box comes apart so it can go in one of the lorries. The phone box might be a bit more interesting. Carting a ton of iron 195 miles to the West will be logistically challenging. And most likely quite pricey...
Quote from: "eponymous"Will there be peacocks?
Definitely not. Thank God. :D

Yes, why do you think I miss it so much!!
Did you know though that if you flattened out Wales it would be bigger than England.
Good luck with the move Jem! I know from experience it takes a lot to move like that, but even more to set up a new studio space that has the vibe and makes you want to create. I am looking forward to seeing the new digs, and even more to hearing the new results!

Drove through part of Somerset yesterday (and will again today) on the way down to Plymouth. they have a quad biking centre and paintball and everything

Or Norfolk... the bits that aren't dropping into the North Sea that is...

Ah ! I feel this is appropriate should that ever happen:-
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want
He makes me down to lie
Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by.
With bright knives He releaseth my soul.
He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places.
He converteth me to lamb cutlets,
For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger.
When cometh the day we lowly ones,
Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water. :D

But what news pray, of the Chickens ?

All the best of luck for the move Jem, when it happens. :)

They will either be given to Janet, who wants chickens. Or they will become that very essence of all things wholesome - chicken stock. Yum! :D

Let's raffle them at the Peel.
It'll be ok, Janet can buy tickets too :D
Why not serve them up at the Peel ? .... in a nice white wine sauce, with peas, carrots and gratin tatties ! ... Mmmmmmm
Stuff the chickens, I'm more interested in the new studio.
Why not buy a huge box of HobNobs and get SoundOnSound to take it on as a "Studio SOS" project? ;)
Might make for an interesting series of articles over the 6 months in any case.
Wot was you thinking of stuffing them with ?
welcome back, Pedro!!
WAIT!!! Don't give up the chickens just yet!!
here's the perfectly named solution: The Cube! (//http://www.omlet.us/products_services/products_services.php?view=Eglu%20Cube)

"Them chickens are organised...."
