ROCK ITtervoort 2012 have announced that ARENA will replace headline act Threshold at this year's festival.

We're proud to announce that ARENA will replace THRESHOLD as headliner of ROCK ITtervoort 2012.After the announcement that Threshold cancelled all their april gigs, including Rock Ittervoort, we started searching for a good replacement.We're convinced that Arena is even more than that. Arena returns after 4 years to Ittervoort for an exclusive gig in Europe.

Arena is a very populair progressive rockband, founded in 1995 by Clive Nolan (Pendragon) and Mick Pointer (ex-Marillion).Musically the band's style ranges from symphonic to hard rock. At the end of last year, they released their latest CD "The Seventh Degree of Separation".With this album they are still one of the best bands on the English scene.

MLWZ is Polish Radio's (Alfa Krakow 102,40 FM) progressive rock show which started in 1994, on air every Wednesday between 8:00 and 10:30 pm CET.

The shows producer is Artur Chachlowski, who is also a well known Polish Metal Hammer journalist. A week ago the 17th edition of MLWZ Best of the 2011 Year Albums Poll results were announced (526 people voted for 398 albums).

ARENA have announced a 9-date European Tour plus a one off show in Quebec City, Canada on November 10th. Support for the Canadian show will be MYSTERY featuring ex-Yes singer, Benoit David.

Arena will also be performing, on the Saturday night, at the Loreley festival on July 7th in Germany.

The European Tour starts in England at the Assembly Rooms, Leamington Spa on the 16th November before moving on to Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
