Frost* / New stuff
July 05, 2013, 05:21:06 PM
there's some new stuff on a 2-3 daily basis, so I thought I'd mention it, as not many others have commented. In particular I think some folks might not have understood the reference to Jem's chair. Or possibly Gem's chair, I don't remember. :P He doesn't seem to post on The View From The Cube, but here:-

Today it's pix of long ago, supporting Pallas, for those that saw them (I didn't)

Any Other Business / Xmas
January 07, 2013, 03:40:18 PM
2 things:-

1) it's unlucky to take down Xmas stuff after 12th night so I suspect we're stuck with Mickey's twinkling lights    8-)

2) a mate of mine said his oven went down Xmas day. He says he did the turkey in the dishwasher. I suspect it's possibly do-able but does anyone else rckon I'm being wound up?

Gear Corner / Midi controller for iPad
September 13, 2012, 02:57:29 PM
Right, to take this section down a notch or a few this is not about the latest Korg/Roland etc. I dusted down my Yamaha E403 (which, to my knowledge has never been sold at Toys'R'Us, although it's little brother the 303 has) yet again, in an attempt to learn to play a keyboard of some discription. While searching for the power bit I found something marked USB and wondered what it was for.  Turns out it's for MIDI. I plugged my iPad in through the camera kit and now I've got a proper synth! Much easier for my chunky fingers to play. I can even assign splits and some functions to the 2 knobs! Big time chuffed.

All I've got to do now is learn how to do adjust this split thingy. Oh and learn to play it  Still happy days :D  :D

Our glorious leader is being gainfully employed by Messrs Satriani, Vai & Morse. There's some stuff on YouTube. TauRush2, whoever he may be, has posted stuff from the Hamburg gig, including a stonking version of Cream's "White Room" with guess who handling lead vocals, too

"Starting to plan the 2013 gig strategy. I forsee exciting things...UK, Europe, USA. :)

What we need.... is a manager! Preferably one that isn't a thinly disguised saddo. I've met a lot of them over the years..."

Quote from Planet Frost for those who don't bother with twitter. Don't know how serious he is but fingers crossed, especially if there is a new album to promote  :D  :D
