Ahoy there,

Just wanted to share some Frosty videos i've made recently!

Firstly, this is me playing Toys on drums:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y_lWLQ8PZ8
I'm mainly a keyboardist actually, but the drummer in my band was kind enough to let me have a mighty bash after practice on his monstrous kit. Some parts are slightly dodgy, but meh... It's such a fun song to play. :)

And secondly, (because I know this will totally overshadow my feeble attempt at Toys on drums) this is a video my guitarist did of the BLM keys solo:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=uh1yIdB1ei8
What can I say, he continues to surprise me...
Thanks to TonyB for helping by supplying that transcription  ;)

Hope you enjoy, i'd love some feedback yo.

ooh we like. verdict from the girls :
Iz (age 10) ooh look how fast his hands are moving!
Ce (age 3) makes me want to dance!
Juni (nearly 2)  zzzzzzzzzzzz   (she's very tired!)

wickedwitch

the guitarist is pretty damn good too!

i think we should give the boys a rest one gig a la 'swap the band' that marllion do at conventions.  fans send in a vid of them doing a song, keys, vocals etc and the band pick theones they like best  to stand in for a song ....

could be a way of getting over jem's dislike of gigs!! x

WW ... I think a Frost tribute band is the answer ... it could be called EIMA ..  Experiments in Music Assassination

Love the vids, good effort on the drums .. what a monster kit !! .. and boy can that axeman play the geetar !
... it was like watching a peach jelly f##k a steel drum ..

Hello guys, I'm said axeman in the above video.

I guess this is as good as any opportunity to introduce myself to you're excellent forum, so yeah. Hello!

Now, I'm personally waiting for Gareth to show off his inhuman keyboard skills in a cover of the GUITAR solo from BLM. Frost tribute band with bizzare instrumentation here we come!

Pedro

Great work you guys and welcome to the board!  :D

You talk
You think you own me
You miss the point completely
These things I do they\'re not for you
I\'m sick and I\'m tired
Leave me alone...

Sam - astounding stuff!
Gareth - I have to know how you counted the bit after the guitar solo (about 2.20). It bugs me every time I listen to it and I haven't had chance to sit and work it out...

Thanks guys!
And welcome, Sam ;)

Hippo, I count the part after the guitar solo as two bars of 11/8 followed by a single bar of 10/8.
I don't understand how/why Jem counts it as 15/16. He did write it after all, but I can't hear it. 11+11+10=32. So you could count four bars of 4/4 over the top - which is really 16/16. So how does 15/16 fit?

Are you sure that the name isn't Van Halen rather than Vallen?  8-)
