Title: Anyone here dabble with Max MSP?
Post by: SerFox on October 23, 2009, 07:43:18 PM
Call to all of those who dabble with this strange universe of programming music and visual confusion :D

I'm learning it as part of my course. It's tricky but it can do amazing things. I want to use it to make a Jean Micheal Jarre laser harp

I only dabble in Reaktor 5, sorry.

Max/MSP is great but you can lose yourself (and your inspiration) in learning it. I find Reaktor much quicker.

I need to learn it as part of my course, and I choose flexibility over quickness when it comes to something this sophisticated. I'm not only interested in programming synths as I am full instruments and live performance tools

I understand. However Reaktor is very flexible too, it has Core, you can make your own stuff, and is a great live instrument as well.

Can't wait for R6.
