Title: That bit in a film when something moves in an empty building
Post by: Pedro on November 16, 2009, 08:29:53 AM
Hold on, there's someone moving about in the blog....
Time remaining 39 days.

OK, Pedro: I'll bite ... 39 days to what? TPE?

I see that TVFTC has changed, but only to a big white rectangle. Is that intended or is it a browser issue (I use Safari)?

(Apologies in advance for any typos over the coming days: I just had surgery on my left hand and thus typing is a lot more hunt and peck than usual  :( )

I'm still seeing Friday's entry, but the title's gone - or rather it's changed to a single Frosterisk.
I suspect the 39 days could be a reference to Jem's impending house move, but that's just a guess.

Weird. Never had any problems reading TVFTC using Safari under Mac OS X before, but all I can see now is a white rectangle drop-shadowed against the brown background with the Home, Forum, Planet Frost*, etc. links across the top and bottom.

Only with Firefox do I see the box with the single Frost*erisk at the top and the Friday 13th blog entry below ...

And I'm none the wiser on the 39 steps, sorry, days business.

Ok, so everybody knew that the blog had been updated on Friday? My bad. I thought there might be some people that didn't know....like me for example!

The title has now become a tiny white blocky Frost*ersisk but this morning it said "Time remaining - 39 days" which I believe was a reference to move-out.

Apologies, but I thought two posts in November following the drought since May was worthy of note.

Your right Pedro, googled VFTC then looked at the cached result and got this:

I'd never seen a DX-7 looking so... depressed.

Err, I don't think anyone was giving you a hard time about the updated blog, Pedro; I didn't know it had been either until you sent us over there.

No, I think we all reckon you must have the insider knowledge on the cryptic 39 Days business, so were hoping you'd spill the beans ...  :D

After a six month drought, I depend on posts like this to tell me to check the blog.  I use IE8 and also get a white box.  Mine says the content cannot be viewed in a frame, but I was able to click through to the new post.

Is the 39 days from the 13th?  That would be 3 days before Christmas.  Moving day would seem a good guess.

me, too.  now that you mention it, Pedro, I saw the 39 days thing the other day, and get the Frost*erisk today, when I could finally get something to load.

I guess the count down is to the end of The Cube ... I guess Jem will rename it or start a new one and cut the old one adrift on the high seas of the internet .. abandon it to a bunch of Somalian Internet Pirates.

I dont know about you ....  but I love having the blog back  :D  .. it's like an old friend !
