Hi
Ha any kindly soul out there edited out the 2 tracks from the interview for idle people like me to listen to? I just can't bring myself to sit through all the chit-chat of ther interview at the moment? Any links would be really appreciated!
Yours very idley!!!
Karl
Yeppers! I've gone ahead and done it. I'm unoffically calling it The Dividing Line EP. Let me know how you want me to send them to you
Why would you have to sit through the interview? Download the mp3 from http://www.thedividingline.com/archives.html (http://www.thedividingline.com/archives.html) Snowman is at the start, The Dividing line is at the end you don't have to listen to the bit in the middle if you don't want to.
I thought it was quite interesting to hear Jem being interviewed by Kermit.

Excellent!
Now I can't help picturing him every time I'm listening!
Yes I've edited them out as well; they're in my "Frost* extra" file on my PC and MP3 player. :)
Hmmm.... I'm dying for the live DVD btw. Is anyone else dying for it? I am. Dying for it that is....
But I got it right that the DVD will not include the gig itself, but "only" a making-of, didn't I?

Oh yes.... I forgot about that. Silly me...
It's a live CD + the new track + a making of DVD. And a T-shirt for the first 500 or so, right?!
I've made my own edits, and I'm willing to share them if the moderators allow me to.
I think the artwork I added on it is kinda funky, but its the official logo of The Dividing Line radio.

Maybe someone with better graphics experience can add the asterisk at the back (or base the new artwork on the logo)?

I am assuming that you are talking about the music and not the chat.
In any case, I think I am "on message" when I say that what you do in the privacy of your own PMs is up to you but we'd rather not have free range links to anything like decent copies of TGS and TDL flying about in the open.
In my mind it is only right and proper that The Dividing Line Broadcast Network should be allowed to be the source of it for the time being - after all it was Jem's gift to them.
If and when Jem decides to let it out via other download locations is completely up to him.
The Philadelphia Experiment will be along in due course.
I think this is a good state of affairs really.
Personally, I want Jem to get the maximum benefit in return for all his hard work and genius but it is a fact of life that those who are prepared to pay will pay (when they can) and those who aren't will nick it.
:)

That was exactly what I thought!
Something like this?

Too right, especially the bit:

I shall listen to the mp3 until TPE comes along. And then my ears shall turn to bonkers jelly with the quality of it all.

Awesome! You motivated me to make at least an .svg of the lightning bolt so at least we can use a different typeface for the temporary cover.

You are 100% correct; this is why I asked beforehand. I can't wait until the TPE DVD is out! :D
Moving onto another subject, what is the official name to the Snowman PG-tinged remix/mashup? I'm calling it "Snowman (Peter Gabriel Remix)" for now, but I feel it sounds kinda weird (makes it look like PG remixed it or something).

I just call it "New Snowman", but I may be wrong...
"Snowman v4.0", perhaps? ;)
Mordwin, your fab cover inspired me to have a go at doing my own. A friend of mine did me a cool porthole design a short while ago, so I'm experimenting with that and a Frost*erisk to see if it looks any good. I'll report back...

How about 'Man Jacinto' ?
