Will Jem and John be takin all the vocals on forthcoming dates now Dec isn,t gonna be there
It took a bit of searching but in this post (//http://www.frost-music.co.uk/frosties/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1897&p=34758#p34758) Craig says he'll be singing too. :)
...and if you look at some of the Level 42 videos, like this one (//http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRk97lI8Xcg), you'll see that Nate can warble too. Don't know if he will though.
For Defence of the Realm, I guess PT will sing too.

What, no Dec :o Why :?:
Perpetual Change. :)
QuoteWhat, no Dec Why
...and he's concentrating on destroying lots, in fact maybe all, of the monsters at present.
I think Jem alluded to Dec taking a sabbatical away from Frost* but him always being welome to return :)
Very disappointing news :(
Well, yes and no in my view. Frost* with Dec has been fantastic but Frost* without Dec was (and will be) fantastic too.
I am really excited that Dec is getting well deserved recognition with DAM and I'm keen to hear what comes next in that area.
I think next year's Frost*, where Jem does the whole thing in an Oom-pah style using just a Roland V-accordian, will be even better. ;)
The Godfrey / Mitchell / King / Blundell line-up will be a beast. I have no doubt. The only way to stay progressive is to keep changing. That's one of the things I love about Frost*. Never content to repeat.
I agree - with a 'fluid' line up then everyone brings different influences and experience to the table so the sound will also evolve over time. And of course, if Jem hadn't taken this approach we'd now be Frost*less with JJ, Andy, John B and Dec all having moved on for a variety of reasons.
PLUS we get the possibility of a Frost* night where all the different lineups play in a massive alumni festival !!!!!! :D
The Onion Tour! :)

Good point - Derby would be handy for JJ and Andy?
It is reasonable travelling distance, however I was thinking a few years down the line so we could have Mk1 playing all of MIlliontown, Mk2 playing EIMA and then Mk3 playing the next album.
Only slight problem is that we'll need to have cloned Jen and JM by then !!!!!!
jen
You mean Jennifer Frost from Atomic Kitten? Her name comes up on iTunes when you search for Frost* albums. :D
Hmm... has anyone actually seen Jennifer Frost and Jem in the same room...?
Good Lord, are you suggesting that a Mission Impossible-style mask removal might be on the cards?
Cool, then we could get a proper version of Whole Again
I did always wonder this Jem, what's the biggest Frost* you could/would consider?

I would like to think a crowd comparable to Polyphonic Spree.

Maybe he'd try something akin to the car park gigs The Flaming Lips did, where all the attendees were given tape players and were conducted by the band to make the overall noise.
Good God, imagine a Frost* gig where everyone in the audience is armed with Stylophones, finger cymbals and spoons...
Took part in a 600-strong "trash" band several years ago as part of a corporate training evnt thing (which were popular back then). It was a "Stomp"-like thing with about 50 of each "instrument" including large plastic barrels, metal beer kegs, saucepans, wood-blocks, etc.
Awful racket while learning it but an awesome noise when we started getting it right. :)
I particularly remember it because (as someone who "had rhythm") I got tasked with helping this other guy who was always a few clicks behind everyone else. After a while of getting nowhere with him, his friend helpfully pointed out that this chap was completely deaf. Things got easier after that cos I was able to "cue" him early enough to get him right on time. Very rewarding that was. :)

If you all bring tambourines and shakers and what not, we could have a 668 piece band. :D

You've done it now. The Christmas gigs are going to be interesting.
SPOONS!!! :D
Actually that's prolly not such a good choice, it would need amplification.
Hmm...668 Squadron? Different era. ;)
Frost*ified version of this, please! (//http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWjjBdPB3ts&feature=fvst) :D
LOL
I really thought there would be such flag-waving moments at the DOTR.
