Numerous rumours are suggesting that she will be releasing new material this year, if not a whole album. Does she count as prog? Don't care, something to look forward to :D
I'm no good with labels but Kate has always been worth listening to. Some didn't rate her last album but I liked it.
Looking forward to more info.
Always a favourite of mine. Fingers crossed there is some new stuff on the horizon.
I'm with you Owen: Don't care! Want hear! Soon!
I would love to hear some new music from Kate! I loved Aerial.
Yup, bring on the Kate. I thought the last album was very good and better than most albums but not a patch on The Kick Inside and Never For Ever, two very, very special albums those imho.
I too liked Aerial but did find Pi a bit like hard work (although I have got a maths A level!) and the washing machine song left me feeling like a damp sock. However - loved the birdsong stuff and Rolf!
A Sky of Honey stays on my phone ready for a crap train journey when I need to calm down
We have a lot of wood pigeons around here and it means everyday of the summer and autumn I wake up and think about that song. A pretty neat marketing trick that - harnessing the power of nature.
Yep. Aerial is lovely. magical stuff.
But I was hooked by 'Man with the Child in his Eyes' back in the 70s and my opinion of Kate's genius has never diminished since then.
New stuff?.. hell yeah!
Hmmm.. rumors don't buy me anything. The thing is I can't find a single credible source that somehow can confirm at least a tiny bit that there will be some activity. I would settle for nice Deluxe Reissues of her backcatalogue (oeoeoe... The Ninth Wave in 5.1 ... I am allowed to dream right?)

Permission granted
Dream on
I read quite a credible newsreport (can't find the link right now) that the albums The Dreaming up to the album before Aerial will get the reissue treatment. Apparently those albums were not exactly owned by EMI but licensed from Kate Bush's production company and as such the license has expired.
So it's really going to happen in a new/old type of way

Deeper Understanding
2 mins longer than original. Not sure about it yet
Young Kate will be relaeasing a new rekkid in November. I believe it's called "50 Types of Snow". I loved Ariel. Wasn't fussed on "Director's Cut" though.
I'm still a relatively new inductee to the Wow Kate Bush Is Fab club. The only tracks I was aware of for many years were Wuthering Heights and Hounds Of Love. I'd heard loads of good comments about Aerial, but still didn't investigate. But then, a few months ago, I heard The Ninth Wave, and that was it - click - I loved it. I am really looking forward to hearing what this new one is like. :)
yes! awesome.
New album streaming here. If the link doesn't work (I'm doing this on my phone) try googling her. It's on NPR Music website

VERY unimpressed so far. Will try to give it more of a listen during a few London bound train rides but if first, second and third impressions are anything to go by I might not manage to stay awake long enough :(

Then you could dream about Kate Bush
Hello
Thought this might appeal to any north-of-England Kate Bush fans? Or vinyl fans in general?
I'm going to this next weekend - http://www.recordclub.org.uk/events/feb12 (http://www.recordclub.org.uk/events/feb12) - where "The Kick Inside" will be played in full on vinyl (along with "The Last Splash" by The Breeders and an as-yet undecided third album; you can vote on the event page).
Disclaimer - my girlfriend is one of the DJs for this event!
Shipley!
What neck of the woods are you in?
Oxfordshire, hence I'm often travelling at the speed of prog!
Just about to blog the vans
Nice stuff - hired a Sprinter to help my sister move house earlier in the year, and that was what got me back into "should I get a van?" mode. This is from the C1 driver of course who really currently needs nothing more. But I love those vans! I remember getting into the Sprinter, sparking it up, gingerly pulling out of the van hire place and thinking "oh no, how am I going to drive thi...ooooh, this is *fun*!". Loved it.
Captain Nemo looks totally awesome. Not sure about the brown ones though...
Remembering where we are though...I wonder if Kate Bush ever travelled in vans during her early tours? Probably Transits if she did I expect.
Captain Nemo is a bit basic but does the job. Has an MP3 player too. Has some handles on the doors, haven't touch them yet, not sure what they do. Can't find the switch for the windows though
'Tis quite fun to drive, you can throw it about abit (ahem)
The P80's are beasts. Cold, drafty and noisy. Surprisingly reliable for their age, but they haven't much to go wrong on them
Well, have you guys seen that ?

300+ Kate Bush Impersonators Pay Tribute to Kate Bush's Iconic "Wuthering Heights" Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8jQl_zOKm4).
It inspired other events including this one I'll be attending :-) in Melbourne, Australia this July (https://www.facebook.com/events/943071012437369/).

Speaking about Melbourne, a singer from there sung Wuthering Heights in original key (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnG5iLR9g9k) - impressive enough !
This guy - Mike Mills - has a band which has its own topic on this forum : Toehider -- time to dig it up (http://frostmusic.net/forum/index.php?topic=660.0) :-)
I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know how the 2014 tour went? Or if there is good coverage of any of the shows? All I've seen are amateur clips on Youtube and I would imagine the entire shows were great. The setlists are lengthy and look fantastic. I would particularly love to see Waking the Witch or Jig of Life.

One concert was filmed for release as a dvd or whatever. Trouble is, this Kate Bush we are talking about. Probably due for release 2026. So about the same time as Frost* 4

I thought I heard something along those lines...Well at least there's a slim chance for a DVD.

I'm sure other vendors are available
Excellent! 8) Thanks for that.
Well, that's the audio. Any word on a DVD / Blu-Ray?
not yet. Found this in the Guardian though: 10 minutes of bliss
