Title: 24th!
Post by: Jem on December 24, 2011, 04:13:21 PM
You know I'm not one to swear, but holy j**** **CK*** ***TIN* F***!

You people floor me. I've just had a gander at the 24th on the advent calendar and...well what can I say?

Thank you SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much.  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

You people really seriously should start a band! And I really mean that. It's an amazing piece of work. It's like an unreleased track from Selling England By The Pound, so many nice influences there. Lovely chord sequences too, and I don't say that coz I wrote a few of 'em. ;)

What's also nicely relevant is that Google are offering an option for snowflakes to fall over the screen at the moment. Obviously, I had that on to add to the vibe!

I'm blown away, flattered, honoured, chuffed and awestruck all in one big globule of thingy. Absolutely brilliant.

Merry Christmas everybody, not just to those involved. I hope you have a fab time filled with good stuff, but and also some peace from whatever's getting atcha right now. To those involved, I'm now going to go to Tunbridge Wells so I can buy a hat that I can take off to you. Genius' every one of you.

The Frosties are the best people in the world.  8-)

xxxxx

BTW, Ron, what can't you play?    :D

The elves have been busy - Copying can be a sincere form of flattery

Time to give the "tribute" band a name?

Merry Xmas, Cap'n. It was such fun to do this track. It would never have happened if it wasn't for Frost* :)

Tribute band name? F*** :D

So glad that you like it.

Just for the record, you will no doubt recognise the two keys solos...because it's you playing them! About 90% of the midi data is all you (incl pitch-bend, mod-wheel, etc.) Spookily, they just fitted in with a small amount of tweakery here and there...particularly there.

Here's to the next one...or this one again!

Happy Christmas! :D :D :D

Nice job!

If you folks ever to decide to do another one count me in!
I just revamped my entire studio and it's wired and ready to go. If life wasn't so crazy the past year
I certainly would have pitched in.

In that case...

I have flute and saxophone but no recording facilities. I'm sure I can find a way of overcoming that handicap when time allows.

A big compliment to all the Frosties* who were involved, sounds amazing!

I haven't been around much lately, but if there are any future plans and you're in need of new members (Guitar, vocals, middle eastern string instruments).. ;)

Cheers!

Any place where I can listen to this song without using the Advent calendar which doesn't seem to work anymore?
