This is your 10... Make that 7, minute warning ladies and gentlemen!
Anybody else having buffering issues, or is my internet just dying?
Been listening for a bit - no buffering problems for me, just annoyed I missed so much of it!
There were loads of buffering issues at first but they have curtailed a fair bit now.
Hmm, just said they'd play "Fanfare" and all I can hear is silence?!
Didn't seem to work at all on my iPhone. Just said it had ended although I tuned in at 7.10. Also there was a link to a mobile version but that didn't work either :(
Hope it's put up as a downloadable podcast.
It will be up as a podcast but not sure when. I think Geoff said in chat it would be by the end of the week...but that seems a long time away.
The sound quality (apart from the stream being *terribly* choppy) was pretty awful so hopefully the podcast will be better.
The "jems" in the programme were, aside from Jem's banter, FFTCM and the "Esoteric Snowman". No actual "new" Frost* but good stuff none the less.
Very interesting to hear about the new album being a 120-minute "song" split into bits. The whole thing telling one story but each "half" standing alone...with a bit of a cliff-hanger at the end of Part One.
Can't wait. :)

That's because you can't play something that doesn't exist

But didn't I see some traffic on the Godfrey twitter feed (which I don't monitor) between him and one of the prog magazines about this non-existent piece of work in fact now edging closer to an official release? Or was that a masterful illusion of misdirection? ;-)

I'd thought about that and whether that was a cunning plan, but the silence went well beyond how long that song might be (if it existed) so, well, there y'go. The rest was silence! The interview explained that the mag and the band liked the treatment of the song but an "estate" forbade its release?
From what I did hear of the show the sound quality was kinda scratchy but the content was great, so I'm looking forward to any possible podcast. But the internet broadcast was a dead cool idea (even though I couldn't get it to work on my Galaxy S3 but it was okay on my laptop) and I hope we can find out more about ProgDog transmissions from this board. I wonder if there were lots of listeners?
I think it has all become clear now.
The Twitter chat was about the track getting an airing (not a release).
It has now had its airing (on Twang's show).
I don't expect anything further to happen.
I''m under the impression (just my own view of course) that the playing of the track on the show was probably not "official" (i.e. with the consent of those who objected to it being on the coverdisk).
I don't really see what the party objecting can honestly do about it anyway. Orchestras and brass bands "cover" fanfare all the bloody time. Fair enough they don't want it going out on a paid-for magazine/cd but that's a bit different in my view.
Back on topic, there was lots of Godfrey chat to enjoy so those who haven't heard it should certainly get hold of the download as soon as it becomes available. The album(s) sound very interesting indeed!
Who said they could use my name? Come on, who was it?

Aaargh! There isn't a pause button on the stream :(
I'm attempting to listen to it at work (as my home internet connection is completely pants) and have already restarted it twice :(

You mean there is no Dam button?? ;) :D
Listening to the HOP stream now in the office - wow, extreme panning! Twang in left, Jem in right! Makes you feel a bit lopsided when on headphones but still cool to hear it.

I managed to download it from the site so I can listen to it as an mp3 and pause it when I like :D
How do you do that? I always wanted to figure that out but never did.
