Title: Drumming sotfware used by Jem
Post by: Daydreamer on March 24, 2009, 10:18:59 AM
Hi Jem, hi frosties.
I'm a french fan of Frost*.
I was wondering what drumming software was using Jem on the "MILLIONTOWN TEST MIX" demo for example.
I've tried EZDrummer, Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums, Battery and I'm not satisfied at all by the sound.

Thank you.
(and sorry for my bad english :D)

Daydreamer ... welcome ... I think Jem played the basic demo drums in via his keyboard, triggering samples from I know not where .. check out the early video's, I'm sure there's some info there. After that TBE did his thang !

Thank you for your welcome and for your answers.
Et heureux de voir que je ne suis pas le seul fan français sur le forum :D

I will watch the early videos. :)

EDIT : I'm watching the earliest "Report" and I don't find any information about the drum samples :/

I'm sure Jem has previously stated it was a mixture of samples and manually played drum sounds on the keyboards using software which gave big drum sounds called BFD (go figure!).

PS - bonjour Daydreamer!

Am I being particularly stoopid here? Is it only me that hasn't got a clue what that post is all about. I seek enlightenment.  :D

I felt stupid too when I read it, but I often do  Too much translation issues, private jokes, weird Brit humour, etc

It's not really worth mentioning really.

We had a spam post advertising stuff, someone reported it, I deleted it.
I annotated the post that said "shouldn't the above be removed?" to say I'd removed the offending article so that people wouldn't think someone was complaining about Airlie's post.

Not very exciting....

Can I complain about Airlie Frost's post?

If you'd really like to....  :)

Click on the exclamation mark in the post and one of the moderators might deal with it.

Someone ought to. An Airlie Frost plays havoc with the grape harvest.

Hello mate and welcome! :D

I've actually forgotten what it was called sadly, but it was a drum sample CD-ROM that I played through MOTU's Mach 5. I've just checked the Time and Space website and I can't find the CD anywhere so I assume it's been discontinued. I gave the CD to a mate's son a few years ago.

Sorry I can't be of more help.  :(
