Tell us O mighty Creme de Custard (that's you Jem)
Will there be the oft mentioned gig CD's for the DT shows ? And if so, will us poor unfortunate blighters that can't make the gigs be able to purchase them via t'internet??

And T-Shirts!! Littlest Brom wants one and won't stop going on about it!!
It'd be nice to know how much money I need to bring to cover Frost* CD, possible new T-shirt and Dream Theater tour shirt.
£5 will procure you a gig CD. For 45 minutes of music I think that's not bad value. 1000 have arrived at my holiday home this very day. As with the last tour CD's these are strictly limited edition. We've no new T-shirts for these gigs sadly, but the old ones will be there.
I am planning on getting some RoSFest ones redone as I think they were our best yet, but it's all dependent on InsideOut fronting me some dosh for a bunch of stuff. They've gone rather quiet ominously...
Blast those ominously quiet ones!
Proudly wore my Frost*Fest shirt just yesterday. A Union Jack version would be rather cool, too. Coming to the end of the EIMA juggernaut, though. Do I sense some relief? Ready to move on to other things by now, I imagine.

And I guess (read: hope :D ) that some of these would be sold on the Frost* store... Right?
I would like a Tour CD and a T-shirt to console me for being unable to go. Would pre-orders for t-shirts in the Frost* store work as a way of generating dosh to get some done? I'm sure there are other Frost*ies who couldn't make it to ROSfest but would still love a t-shirt.
Right, catherine! 8-)
£5 for a 45 minute live Frost* CD = best value ever! :D
£5 for a Frost* CD? Done.
Can't wait to get mine - Roll on tomorrow night - two of my fave bands...
Oh yes...
there will be prog...

You did catch the news that their mothercompany SPV is in serious financial trouble haven't you?
I think he did! ;)

awesome, thought this live CD was gonna be a label release but if im getting it today, even better!!! m/

I think there is some confusion. AFAIK this is what I know:
1. The live cd = The Philadelphia Experiment (ROSfest) and that one is going to be released through InsideOut
2. The DT Gig cd = studio stuff that didn't end up on EIMA. I believe even a Frost Report was added to it?
oh really? well that's still cool. I await both
Would any kind soul who is attending one of the gigs at the weekend (and has a PayPal account for reimbursement purposes) be able to purchase an extra tour CD for me and post it to me? I'm sad that I can't go to either of them.
Please PM me if so.
Ta muchly to the wonderful, warm and generous, buttock-buckling RacingHippo who has kindly volunteered to sort one out for me. Thanks RH!
You're welcome.
Buttock-buckling by appointment only. Straight-jacket not supplied. No loony magician-types are harmed during the rendering of this service. Much.
Actually, I believe the DT gig CD contains only the RoSFest tracks that didn't make it onto the label release. The label release will have the bulk of the RoSFest tracks, the 4 EIMA B-sides and the 45 minute Frost* Report.

Ditto. I also have a PayPal account and would be most gr8ful if someone would purchase and ship an extra gig CD on my behalf.
I'll pick up as many as I can afford for forum members
Missed the boat on this one. It's been on the to-do list for a while. Other thing's have been taking priority.
2 discs for me if someone would be so kind. PayPal waiting.
Ta muchly.
At the gig now.. The cds are 8 quid each and there's a few frost shirts left got my medium :) I'll get as many as I can post gig but it might only be one more
£8  Jem said they were £5 at the start of this thread. I guess that's the venue adding a mark-up.
I'll gladly pay a reasonable premium for the gig CD. Just PM me with your PayPal info.
ditto
I would love one so if anyone has one spare.... pm me pretty please!
Me too me too!
I really hope Jem can make some of these tour CD's available for purchase online. That would totally make my day.
Anyone willing to get me one too. Will happily Paypal £££ upfront before tonight.
Cheers
sorry guys i never picked any more up, i left the venue after dream theater and forgot. I'll hand my badge in :( lol . I assume there will be some left though like last time. Its all live bar one last track, The Forget You Song i think
Yes, apart from the packaging, I don't think there is anything on the disk that will not be on the live album package.
TFYS is one of the "B-sides" and all live tracks are said to be from the forthcoming live release.
Listening to it now, its brilliant! If that's any consolation for those who can't get it :/
edit: Bloody hell! I was actually looking around for dogs barking. Damn you
Same here! Was that Jem up to a little mischief in post-production, or did that really happen at ROSFest?
By the way, has anyone scanned the CD's front cover and has the image as a JPEG? I'd love to have it accompanying the wonderful sounds on my iPod.
I'd scan it myself, but I won't have access to a scanner until the end of next week and Jem and John scribbled all over mine. Barbarians. ;)
here you go, scanned it in for my library as soon as i got home haha (nerd alert)

WTF? I thought Jem was going to put the tracks that wouldn't end up on The Philadelphia Experiment on the tour cd and now I read it is all stuff that WILL be on the live-album?

....I can only report what the sleeve says....I know no more....
Weezul sir, thank you very much! I love that cover to bits (I really should stop holding it now ;) ).
Meanwhile, I'd have thought that definitely some of the tracks from this tour CD would've gone on The Philidelphia Experiment - Hyperventilate especially, seeing as it's the concert opener. Maybe it's a mix of what will be on there and what won't be. I don't mind one bit, personally. :)
I hope the covers will be different, though I don't know how you could get a better one than the one as featured by Weezul!
nee botha :)

Yes, we were shafted rather on the prices I wanted to charge. And they took 25% plus VAT of our earnings.
I think greed is prehaps the ugliest of the sins. :?

Strewth! I guess that's the price yer pays for hanging with the big boys.
(The "plus VAT" bit is just adding insult to injury.)

I can't do a double album, not if I want to include the 45 minute Frost report as well. That would be a 3 CD package and start to get stupidly complicated, not to mention expensive.
The set was 2 hours long. I've included a taster of the live album on the tour CD. Although I've not entirely planned it yet, I expect the actual "TPE" CD will be a "best of" with as much from the gig as I can fit on. There will be some tracks that have to step aside, such as Pocket Sun, No Me No You and a few others I expect. That said, I'd like to do a special mix on the DVD that contains the
entire gig in WAV form plus the Frost report plus the full compliment of EIMA B-Sides. So hopefully that will please as many people as it's humanly possible to please in a Frost-Live-Album context. ;)
You really are far too kind to your Frost*ies, Jem. Love the live sampler cover art and looking forward to whatever product is brewing at Cube Industries.

Oh no, that wasn't what I was expecting at all. I got the gist that it would be a single cd live-album and that as much of the remainder of the live-tracks from ROSfest would be on the tour cd.

I would love to have the whole concert in WAV format (instead of MP3) so I can put it easily on my own cd-r's and make my own complete ROSfest disc... cool idea.

really? they take 25% off a CD that you spent all the effort recording, mixing and pressing? Or was your record company involved with the pressing? Or was it DT tour manager stuff? I'm quite interested in this side of things

This is getting all Stephen Fry. :?
Jem
I am new on this forum, but by reading previous posts re the live album thingy you really look after your fanbase and that is so unusual in this rat race (who else would put the whole album in wav format for next to nowt). Hats of to you for keeping it all real and making your fans happy.

It seems that DS is the Gig CD dealer of choice. :D :D :D
The boy says the intro to Hyperventilate is "quality!"
He then said "it is sick and Dad has to put it on my phone"
Makes me proud :D
My younger boy asked if it was live. He was very impressed with it.

Yes it is and very good it is, too. I've given the thing seven full plays now. I think I'm now a sad geek fan. 8-)

The animal sound effects in DDD really threw me the first time though!! :D :D
The boy just keeps listening to the first bit of Hyperventilate - he thinks it is so funny and has taken to saying "what ho"
I really don't want to be on the forum this late but the neighbours are playing drum n bass really loud :(
That's never fun. When my (former) flatmates got too loud with their music, I got revenge by playing ELP very loudly.
A bit extreme maybe, but I had to put up with incessant "bangin' beats" disturbing my sleep since September. I think the punishment fits the crime. ;)

Your'e not joking.I had my two schnauzers in the back of the car on the way to the park when the DDD dogs and geese/duck kicked in and they went completely MENTAL. God knows what the dogs are barking on the CD, but it seemed to get the attention of my mutts!
 I've just thought of something! This is incredibly off-topic (nothing new there ;) ) and this was the nearest thread I could write it down in. Does anyone remember the mysterious warning against pigs at the beginning of one of the Frost* Reports? "Do no trust pigs...they are evil..." Is it just coincidence that poor Jem's gone down with a bit of swine flu? Pig's revenge for trying to warn us, I say.
I know I'm probably going to regret posting this in a few hours. Remember kids, this is the sort of thing that can happen if you bugger up your sleeping cycle.

Whoa, where can I get one of those? I have to stay awake to go on bike rides at the mo!
