Well done Karl - but actually you're the second person to order !!

You will of course get a couple of lovely window clings, at least.  Plus a big kiss on the envelope from TLD!

Does the kiss cost extra? I don't remember that being an option on the CRS ordering page

Question is, Sean, do you get window clings like this?

Now that's just favouritism.

New blokey shirts are available in Medium, Lard, Extra Lard and Extra Extra Lard as usual.  What kind of size normal people were you thinking of?  ;)

All orders go out with window clings until we run out.  I think TLD sends them all out with Big Lurve.

I don't let just anyone kiss my envelope you know! But in this case I will make an exception!

Title: Re: THE NEW SHOP - WHINGE ALERT!!!
Post by: El_Presidente on November 07, 2008, 04:59:57 PM
Well someone had to whine didn't they.

I ordered my EIMA and a Beanie hat through the CRS Rokshop at the start of the week.

Then I've just found that the signed version (which I obviously want) is only on the new shop on here - bugger.

And, beanies are a quid cheaper on here than at the Rokshop.  Being from Lancashire this feels like someone tore off my thumbnail with pliers, poured soy sauce on the wound and then glued the nail back with a lump of caustic soda.

I'm physically in pain.  Even the beauty of this new site isn't helping.  I need a brew.

ELP.

Down the bottom there - 14 quid.

???

I ordered a signed EIMA (SE) from CRS on 26/10. Just checked the order confirmation (you got me nervous ;) ), and it says :

"Frost - Experiments in Mass Appeal *SPECIAL EDITION* PRE ORDER
- Product Signed? : CD (Signed)"

I'm a hopeless conspiracy theorist by nature, but I swear there was the one option for the Special Edition when I bought mine.  They didn't know if that was the signed one or not because it said (Signed?) next to the title.

Someone's been amending the Rokshop items and has left poor old ELP out in the cold.   :(

And - I want my beanie signed for the extra quid.  In gold lamme thread interwoven with the chunky woollen knit.  Either that or Tipp-Ex.

So to clarify... will my CRS Rokshop EIMA CD be signed or not? If not they'll be getting bombarded with emails demanding a refund and I'll buy from here instead. Which, if I'd known it was going to be here, I would have held up a couple of weeks and ordered here anyway, and got a window cling- which I want for my window here at uni...

Aaaaaaagh!!!

How confusing.  The one that isn't signed says:-
- Product Signed? : CD
All that's missing is the extra (signed) in brackets.

Thats like writing your name as Mrs Sarah Brown (Mrs).  Except a bit different.
OK so the extra quid should've been the give-away, but it was late and the wine bottle was empty...

Hello all,

The CRS Rok Shop was a transitional arrangement to allow us to sell merchandise on line until we had our lovely new site sorted out. Basivally, they had access to a means of taking card payments and we did not. Obviously we had to pay them a fee for their trouble, as well as the card costs, but it meant we could get stuff to people who wanted it and hopefully get a few people from the CRS into Frost* and vice versa.

Other than that, they simply passed on the details of the orders to us. Or not, as the case might be, which has caused some problems which we are trying to rectify, but the sending out of orders is done by The Lovely Deb in either case. So free window clings go with every order wherever they come from, until we run out.

She'll no doubt be joining us shortly, but until then, please feel free to mail me. We've tried to pass on savings where we can, and improve the service to you.

In either case, orders will all go out at the same time with the intention of getting them to you around the UK release date of 17th November.  Wherever you are in the world.

Public service announcement over!

JJJ

Okey, but what mail is that? :D

I ordered a couple tees some time ago, and one arrived. The other one was missing, not a notice or a explanation or something. Then I emailed a couple of times, but no answer..

I have already paid for these so I'm a bit disappointed of being treated this way.

There might be a quicker way (Snail mail)
go to 'User control board'

Find a memeber (Middle of screen)
Under message column
click on PM, on line 3 (JJJ)
enter your text then send your Personal Message (Mail)

No, you see, thats not right.

Stickers stuck to everything cos they had sticky glue.
Trouble is sticky glue was not an indefinite substance, so after a while they stopped sticking (or they where one stop stickers that you made the decision to stick to your maths homework book)

Window clings can be removed and reclung to numerous surfaces again and again, through new clingy science.

Clingon with a C obviously...

Anyway... Did you know Rowland Lockey (c. 1565 - 1616) was an English painter and goldsmith. The son of Leonard Lockey, a crossbow maker of the parish of St Bride's, Fleet Street, London, Lockey was apprenticed to Queen Elizabeth's miniaturist and goldsmith Nicholas Hilliard for eight years beginning Michaelmas 1581 and was made a freeman or master of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths by 1600.
He worked mainly as a copyist of earlier portraits to make up sets of oil paintings for the fashionable long galleries of great houses, but signed or documented portrait miniatures on vellum and a signed title page engraving for the 1602 Bishops' Bible also survive.?

Strangely enough, I have done...  Maybe I've either got something wrong, or there's some kind of gremlin in the system.  Anyway, this is drifting slightly off-topic.  Maybe my signature should have its own forum.  That would be rather expectant of it, since my book doesn't even have its own forum yet (it may do one day...  never quite got round to doing websitey things...)

Speaking of which, who put the new Frost* site together?  It's looking very good!

Mark try copying and pasting the code in this box to your signature you can change the click here bit to whatever you'd like the link to say

Or this if you'd like the whole "Sunrise & Shorelines: The slightly-less-new-than-it-used-to-be book from Mark Charlesworth:" to be a clickable link

Not sure about the shirts I ordered mine after I ordered the album and didn't get a confirmation of my order for the shirt and beanie but Deb (TLD) is in the process of chasing this up for me but is being frustrated by the lack of replies from the CRS who are apparently in the middle of a move

Quote from: "Wickerman"Ah... cheers guys!  We seem to have got there in the end.  Now all I need to do is find a new Avatar.  Used to have the guy spraying the Frosterisk (tm) on the wall, but since that's the site banner here, think I should maybe go for something different...

yay!

I dutifully ordered through CRS to support the band, but based on some of the bad feedback I've heard about them, I'm not exactly expecting my order to arrive by the 17th.  Still, I'd rather the band make some money back from this rather than getting 20p divided by 5 people from every HMV sale... or whatever it is bands get from physical retail sales nowadays.

Quote from: "Ivor"Pres, have you e-mailed CRS? There's still plenty of time to amend the order.

Well, they dont answer their emails, so..

................All the orders go to TLD, PM her

Edit,
Hells teeth, 97 new members already.
Haven't located the list of members yet though

Thats a bit funny. I have already sent a couple of unanswered emails, and now I should contact someone on this board( or ?). And for the people who dont hang on this board then?

Its funny how the work lay on my shoulders, they glady took my money at least. Crap..

Where can I find this TLD, you talk of people like I should know who they are?

..yeah, if you get your order and its not complete, then they say nothing about this. Then you email them to confirm that they have missed to send a complete order, but they dont answer. So I guess you should be happy that at least some items arrive.

Apologies for those who have seen it elsewhere.

The CRS Rok Shop was a transitional arrangement to allow us to sell merchandise on line until we had our lovely new site sorted out. Basically, they had access to a means of taking card payments and we did not. Obviously we had to pay them a fee for their trouble, as well as the card costs, but it meant we could get stuff to people who wanted it and hopefully get a few people from the CRS into Frost*, and vice versa.

Other than that, they simply pass on the details of the orders to us. Or not, as the case might be, which has caused some problems which we are trying to rectify, but the sending out of orders is done by The Lovely Deb in either case. So free window clings go with every order wherever they come from, until we run out. And ordering and deliveries will be the same either way.

The benefits are that we can save costs, and we've tried to pass on savings where we can, and hopefully we can improve the service to you.

In either case, orders will all go out at the same time with the intention of getting them to you around the UK release date of 17th November. Wherever you are in the world.

The Lovely Deb will no doubt be joining us shortly, but until then, please feel free to mail me.

Public service announcement over!

Aloha!

New fan, only just got Milliontown on Wednesday and I've already played No Me No You on my radio show, I love it so much.

I tried to order Experiments and a t-shirt on the store on Friday evening, and when i clicked to go to Paypal it came up with an error message. I figured it was a prob with the site so I decided to hold off for a bit. Tried to order it tonight, got the same error. I figured "Maybe it doesn't like Opera", so I switched to Safari... no luck!

Any chance anyone knows what's shaking? I really want that special edition CD :P

Cheers captains!

You can always drop us a line and pay by cheque.  Don't forget to tell us what you want, where you live and your contact details.

Make cheques payable to Frost and send them to:

Frost*
Heath House

Stourbridge

Would that be a frost*ed heath then ? :D

I ordered through the CRS, and their conformation details were correct - I just have to hope that those details were passed onto JJJ and TBD correctly now.

7 days and counting ... :D

My only complaint with the new shop:
I hate using paypal. I mean I would like it if I didn't have to transfer funds every time I use it. Apparently that's what I have to do now (never had to do that before)
And the transferring funds literally takes a week! I want my frosty shit now!

OK, i'm looking into this BUT it seems a problem with not having paypal funds.

It's not actually the case that you have to have funds in your Paypal account to use your credit card. Just register the card on your paypal account and you can use it just as you do when buying from any other online business.

Sorry matey.  You deserve one for your artwork too, but they're really all gone.

We're trying to do limited runs of everything we do, just to make it all a bit more special.
