Title: Biggest Disappointment with EIMA...............
Post by: Mooncat on November 30, 2008, 05:09:27 PM
No I'm not going to moan about the mix (which sounds fine to me) but rather the lack of one of the 'developmental' songs.

Having watched the DVD I want to know what happened to the Skiing song??? It was a bona fide crossover 'hit' and I'm gutted it didn't make the album................

(Or has Jem sold it to Simon Cowell foir the X Factor winner???) ;)  ;)  :P

I'd say the biggest disappointment with EIMA is it ends.

The good news is you can play it again

Love it from start to finish, only disappointment is that album No3 is probably a few years away.

Excellent, you can join the ranks of people who get to see what Tom will look like in 25 years time. Currently only Pedro has had the privilege of the two-generation experience!

I shall look forward to that, Tom! i would have been bringing along multiple generations also but both my offspring (who would have been interested in coming) are at Scout camp that weekend.  Probably just as well I'm not bringing along my 13-y-o son - he's as tall as you are and not a good chap to stand behind in a crowd.

Really Brom, I was referring to his height, not any digestive issues.
I'm not especially vertically challenged myself, being 6', but I do find it hard to see past someone who's 3 inches taller than me.

(On the subject of people who are bad to stand behind at gigs for the other reason, I find PT fans the worst... at the last gig they played in Cambridge I had the misfortune to stand behind one chap who must have been preparing for the event by eating nothing but baked beans for a fortnight. Good job no-one had a naked flame nearby. And at the PT gig at the IndigO2, I stood behind a farter and a fainter - I expect the emissions of one caused the collapse of the other.)

Hi Freddy. I think they're sort of 'open source'. We've worked most of them out here already - and apparently not having lyrics, credits etc on your albums is now the latest in cool.

So why a jolly man from rural Sussex is doing it I have no idea.

Cool, can you print it out and make a booklet? Cause I want lyrics at hand when abusing the old stereo.

Actaully, there ar jolly talented people on here (besides VitaminP, the man behind the real stuff) who I'm sure could put together a very visually pleasing "un-cool" (if you take my meaning) booklet to go with the album.

Could be quite a job, choosing cleverly appropriate images to go with the songs (no shortage of talented image-icians on here), laying out the text in a pleasing (but readable) font, making up some random credits and "so-and-so-would-like-to-thank"s....  :)

I'd have a go myself but I'm kind of up to my ears in creative log-jams at the moment....

That I probably won't see any of it played live!  Unless they do a us tour and play somewhere near st. louis which would be awesome :D

I can at least hope for a us tour!
