OMG.. It Exists! Sorry if this is a Repost! OMG! https://soundcloud.com/planetfrost/fanfare-for-the-common-man
No NO NO you're dreaming.
It doesn't exist
Are they......are they watching?
Shhh! :)
Pretty sure it would sound awesome if it existed.
Yeah, Sorry to get your hopes up.... Nothing to see here... ;)
Being a huge FROST* fan, I figured I would post an arrangement we did of Fanfare for our 2012 season. Not quite as FROST*-ie, but we still added a few 'expensive' chords in it for good measure ;)

Good grief: some people have waaaaay too much spare time on their hands. And I mean that in full positive appreciation: amazing stuff.
What was your role in all of this, YS?

Thanks, I do brass arrangement and composition for this and a few other drum corps and other clients here in the states.
This is another arrangement of a more mainstream song (Creep by Radiohead) that we did in 2011: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxo-e4N8cfI
And the same group who did fanfare, an arrangement of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody from 2011: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=cWiq_C153og#t=86s
Hopefully, someday I can arrange some FROST* to be put on the field!

Will take a look at those videos when I have the chance.
But I think I can safely predict that Jem would be absolutely chuffed to see a Frost* song being played by a marching drum corps band, complete with cheer leaders. Who wouldn't? ;)
excellent, excellent work, YS!! very impressive! and that's a great market you've gotten in to! grats!
Thank you very much guys. I am fortunate to do what I love, and be out in the sun all summer teaching (which has partially kept this reply from being so delayed). Our 2013 production is moving a long quite smoothly, using selections from Philip Glass' opera Einstein on the Beach. My favorite piece to arrange for this summer has been Alan Silvestri's "The Abyss"; Its a very majestic and powerful piece with very 'expensive chords'.
I am posting a segment of one of our early rehearsals from last week that a youtuber recorded for your pleasure (The samples are from 'Einstein on the Beach'). I'll post another as my time permits as the season comes to a close in August as everything should be nice and 'clean sounding' by then. :)

(If you decide to watch the entire show the musical selections include: Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass, Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, Walking With Heroes by Paul Lovatt-Cooper, The Devil's Bridge by Bertrand Moren, The Abyss by Alan Silvestri, The Light Fantastic by Paul Lovatt-Cooper, The Dark Side of the Moon by Paul Lovatt-Cooper)
Shhhhh. It's back 8)
