Wowza! Just watched the video and everything is sounding pretty spectacular. I'd quite like to hear details of the jingles' development, though, if anyone involved has the time to blog it. Would be well interesting.
I was wondering about the snare sound in some of the more electronic ones as well, and it sounds like that ubiquitous dubstep/D&B snare. As cool as it sounds, I do wonder if it'll stand the test of time like the previous jingles did, just because of how quickly electronic music moves. No offence meant by that, obviously, just something I was wondering about.
Also, if I was Jeremy Vine, I'd just watch the part of the video where the singer belts 'JEREMY VINE' into the microphone again, and again, and again...
Where, where???!!!
I think he means this one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxhlvMC-5KE!
That was a frosterisk at the end, by Wise Buddah, no?
Ooh thanks will take a look!

Just what I was thinking! Looks like the original 6 pronged Frost*erisk.
Still makes me smile every time I hear a R2 jingle to think that half of Frost* is involved with it! 8)
Yes, it's like a great institution has been subverted, and we're in on the joke :D 8) :P
Initially I thought that this topic was referring to the "new" set of jingles done by Wise Buddah last year ... but now I see from the YT video, posted just a couple of days ago, that this must be a new set / update / addition.
None of this set really caught my ear, but some of the ones from last year seemed to betray at least a touch of their Frost* connection ... ;)
Anyone share a little more detailed info?
The Jeremy Vine jingle is a very nice touch, using the number as the base idea for it.
I'm not really a fan of the new sonic logo though.
The arrangements are all fab, don't get me wrong, just those 7 notes :-\
