ONWARDS FROST*IES!!! ;D
Ordered mine ;D
All I can do now is pray that my obscure Scottish address doesn't cause my copy to be lost to the Postal System.
Got mine... well, ordered it, anyway. :)
I hear that the Merch Desk has melted in the rush...

Radiant Records had a similar problem with Transatlantic pre-orders yesterday. The fan base was that strong they managed to crash the website! :) It's great to see Frost* having a similar impact (hate to be the one having to fix everything though!)
Ordered! That's my Christmas sorted! 8) Bonus is that it seems to come with a CD too.
Very reasonably priced at that too ;)

I was very glad they did the CD, looking forward to hearing that current version of Pocket Sun! :)
My DVD collection just got a new member. :D
Sent funds for mine!!! Not that I want a mine; I want the DVD. *worries*
Ordered....
It's not here yet
Ordered!
One for Australia, please! Duly ordered!

Get 'em while they're hot, they're luverly.
New old stuff, new new stuff, tip top from stem to stern.
Any Extras, Pete? Making Of... featurette? Gag Reel? Bonus Prog School? :0
Ordered three copies. It is Christmas you know.
Ordered mine today, can't wait to receive it and potentially cry myself to sleep clutching it.
I hear that they were delivered to Nellie yesterday and mine arrived in the post today - can't be any faster! ;D
It's here! I mean, actually here, in my trembling little hands... :P
No sign of mine yet. But then, my postman doesn't know his numbers, and delivers the post randomly round the houses so we all have to go outside and swap. I just hope whoever gets it hasn't gone away :-\
I expect it will take a day or two to cross the pond, but it's on it's way! Thanks, nellie!!
I'm afraid that I also suffer from the case of wandering post that DueyC has.
I shall remain optimistic nonetheless :)

Last year, the late arrival of a Big Big Train CD (see what I did there) meant that I had stern words with the postie - the new one is much better... ;)
Yay! Mine arrived today (thanks Nellie). 8) Just finished watching it - wondreful! Really pleased to have all these songs on DVD now. It's even more impressive when you can actually see what each of them is playing close up along with a great sounding audio. Rob Reed has done a very nice job with the filming - couple of clever touches in Milliontown especially. ;)
Fascinating comments by Jem at the start of each track such as he doesn't really like DDD and he gives Milliontown only 7/10!
Good fun interview at the end too. Even the Big Banana gets a mention!
An essential purchase for any Frost* fan.
Haven't seen it yet but the cd sounds great! Much more modern? Especially Jem's sounds. And Blunders batters that kit! Haven't finished Milliontown and still the acoustic stuff to go
Still waiting for mine, but looking forward to it for sure.
Not received mine yet either but I've waited this long, so I can easily wait a few more days. Will probably watch it at the weekend anyway :)
It just arrived! Wheee!
I only just ordered, my bad been busy and kept slipping my mind that I hadn't ordered yet :-[
So...just taken car for servicing, just finished Lantern, only acoustic version of Black Light Machine to go.
When I pick it up, half way through Pocket Sun. Hmmmm

It's as clear as day! Particularly in the day time. The postman just knows how desperate I am for Frost*iness and is deliberately keeping it from me. That's what I reckon.
Every day something comes through the door, I get all excited, and what do I find? LEAFLETS! Leaflets should be banned.
Just had a quick look at the DVD on my work PC. Interesting that it comes up as "FORST" rather than "FROST" :)

There's always something that doesn't get checked!
For a while the DVD menu listed a song called "Heartsrings" and that got past a few checks but was caught just before it was too late! :)
If the Disc label in a PC is as bad as it gets I think people will be happy! ;)
Even TA?
DVD arrived very promptly (Thanks Nells) a few days ago, however I instructed Mrs B to whisk it away, straight jacket it in wrapping paper and hold it prisoner under the flashing conical glittery green thing that has recently appeared in the lounge. Release is confirmed on Brussel Sprout day where its contents can be examined in great detail with the attention it deserves without the miriad of distractions which currently prevail.

I spotted that too but thought that 'Forst' was a deliberate misspelling like 'Wondreful', just to see who was awake...! :P
Mine arrived yesterday! looking forward to sitting down with a good cup of tea and watching it this weekend.

I have only heard the CD so far but it sounds excellent - by that I mean sonically; in the Jim D wheels in particular.

*I was out delivering Xmas cards by hand the other night and stopped to wander up someone's path with Milliontown paused at about 9.55. When I got back in and cranked the stereo back up the ensuing "Buppity-BWAH!"s** were delightfully bassy and majestic and conjoured my traditional mind-video of an enormous Terry Gilliam-esque monster stamping out across the land and trampling things underfoot ;D There's lotsa low end coming off the drums and keys too, all nicely balanced I reckon with the 5 string bass of Nathan.
*Spot the Frost*erisk
**I believe this phrase was last used by RacingHippo/Mikey in reference to the middle of "No Me No You" but it does adequately describe the general sonic sledgehammery that emerges from the epic Milliontown at around 10:00 and 12:09 (Rockfield Files version)
Interestingly I posted this on the Forum a long time ago after a holiday in Tuscany! 8)

Will you miss me tonight when I'm gone.....
Good lord, this is really quite incredible. I'm so happy. I'm just watching through the acoustic things now, Lantern sounds absolutely fantastic!
Is it just me or does anyone else feel the boys should be singing "Tie me kangaroo down sport" in the chorus of Heartstrings?
Yeh, it's just me isn't it....
Finally watched my copy tonight - very excellent!

Oh.
My.
God.
This is beyond.
I knew Nathan King was a good bass player but I found myself saying "bloody hell" in disbelief at his playing on the DVD. The mixing is great, the new stuff is great, the old stuff is great, the interviews are great. The whole thing is a triumph (and before anyone makes the joke, I don't mean a car)
Now that I've finally seen all of it in this busy Christmas time with kids and all... Whoa! :o
Me like this.
I wish they would release Heartstrings as a video single.
Dont know if I'm imagining this but I'm sure jem said some where that they recorded fathers, is it just me, what happened to it, maybe jem decided to keep it to promote nmis.
Fathers was recorded as a demo and for a time it was available on the blog (before it got hacked) but he removed it at some point, probably to avoid upsetting the powers that be at the label.

I couldn't find the offending video on YouTube with a quick search so it may have been withdrawn now. However, if it is still there, we should all bombard the idiot who put it up there with negative comments...
Lets all hope that this is just a knee jerk reaction by jem, he has too much great music in him to keep to himself, one arse hole dose not deserve the self satisfaction of spoiling it for the rest of the world, it would be such a shame but unfortunately there are a few tossers about that don't care about the good people like jem who give up so much energy and time not to mention money to give pleasure for all there fans, lets hope the bastard realises what he's done.
p.s lets also hope jem calms down and changes his mind, although i completely understand if he dose not.

These days it's more than a few, piracy seems to be an acceptable crime.
Maybe Jem will re-generate Frost*, Dr Who like, into Forst ;)
FFS >:( >:( No I couldn't find it either. I suspect idiocy rather than anything else as he wouldn't get any money from it.
The culprit seems to have duly disappeared from Youtube & Twitter.
I just hope that the mishap hasn't wholly disheartened Jem from continuing the good work. There really is no other music like Frost*, it'll be criminal if this has killed the new album!

Definitely gutted at this news, and a bit of a bummer as I only got into this game about a couple of years ago. Certainly hope that things might change, but I can respect Jem's decision, can't blame the guy really!
It's been a while, but came back to say hello to a few peeps and lend my support to Frostie*land.
LOVING every bit of the new offering and as one who knows the heartache involved in getting a moving picture disc out to us, I can only say hip hip, hurray, hip hip hooray....

I wouldn't worry too much about that personally, Jem was understandably quite upset at the time and the tweets regarding the video and frost being "canned" have been deleted. I think it was just a little bit of a blip, and normal scheduling will resume. Time will tell.

The Rockfield Files stuff is terrific! I watched it on Christmas Day evening! Then again, again, again, again...
I still haven't though I've heard it loads on the car cd (which thinks it's called something like Forts Master: I'll check tomorrow)
Watching the DVD now. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it!!
Fantastic seeing the solo on Black Light Machine up close. Guitar and drum playing blew me away! And I know Jem doesn't speak too highly of his voice, but, from where I'm standing, it's pretty faultless :-)

Well it was... *earworm takes residence*...
Meanwhile I love Heartstrings but I do sometimes find myself singing "Round and round the garden, like a teddy bear" before normal service is resumed in the following lines.
I have yet to watch the DVD as in the chaos of Christmas wrapping and tidying-up I have actually lost it. I hope I haven't inadvertently given it away as a gift. The CD still sounds so immense! I got some other LPs over Xmas and they're ace but if only any of them had the beautiful mix of The Rockfield Files they'd be even acer!

Finally finished watching the DVD. Great stuff!
The interview is hilarious!
My only complaint is the packaging. Already falling apart after the first use... ::)
Yeah, the card adhesive on mine gave way when I put the disk back in the sleeve the 2nd time, but I'll probably just pritt-stick it, or whatever the equivalent is these days.
My bigger problem is when I'm trying to rip it to MP3 for the car - I use dBpoweramp, as I have for years, but no matter which of three different PCs/optical drives I rip it on, I get an "inaccurate" rating on every single track of the CD. I can't discern any audible issues in the ripped MP3s, but I'm not usually listening *that* closely while driving. I'm more concerned that the CD may acquire errors sooner than expected for optical media.
Anyone else had similar?
Mine fell apart but I thought it was just me being heavy handed..anyway keep it in the dvd tray to avoid inadvertent packaging failure ( the dvd not the sleeve)
