Gigs / Re: Celebr8.3 2014

Frost* gig was amazing. Thinking back now they behave like children yet just bust out an amazing gig. Better than last year by a long way.

Ballroom floor was cool. The sound was amazing stood in the middle in front of the desk. I think the Keys weren't right in the mix for the first couple of songs but then it just got better and really it didn't matter in the slightest!

New song "Scientist?" is a grower, Drop D, energetic, with Frostie sprinkles ontop and length and Nathan singing, he should do more of that - echoing what people have mentioned.

I like the newish version of Pocket Sun. It flows more, bit darker, bit like the new song. Or like a Hobnob, evolving into a chocolate hobnob. (haha nob) It just gets getting better.

What was the song John was playing on the keyboard halfway through Milliontown ?

What was the song where Jem totally changed the ending, in the last few chords ? (Hyperventilate??) "You weren't expecting that were ya!"

Announcements / Re: Jem's Chair

It was meant to be a 'Gem of a chair' - as in nice looking - my chair broke the same day I read the Frost*** blog.

Words came out that seemed to rhyme. A bonus in my mind.

I'll be more clear next time, I'm sorry.

Hum.. looks a bit like a thunder frog is hiding in the derrière of Jem's new chair.

I dream of owning such a chair.

Quote from: "DavSel"
Quote from: "cheekylittlebside"I love looking at setlists and this is an interesting one! Was this before EIMA was released?

Songs 3+5 were not played. However I'm sure the spirit of those songs was in the atmosphere somewhere (about 5 miles up).  They still had "Dec" with them when I saw them. I'm guessing it must have been about the same time as release of EIMA release.

Right! Story Time!

Went to go see Spock's Beard @ Leeds Rio 2008 and this group of happy faced chaps came on the stage. I knew within a few minutes of opening I was going to check this band out. The lighthearted joking and messing about on stage between songs seem to strike a chord (hum...) with me, and others. By the end of Pocket Sun I was simply blown away (What a song!!) and I was hooked.

So as I sit here - looking for a job - listening to TPE I really couldn't be happier. Just need to figure out some of the bass bits now.

Bring on the new album chaps!!

Set-list Leeds Rio's 2008 : (off internet so not sure if its right)
1. Experiments in Mass Appeal
2. Hyperventilate
3. 2 become 1 (Spice Girls cover)
4. Pocket Sun
5. Sexy Back (JT remix)
6. Black Light Machine
7. Wonderland
8. The Other Me
