After reading Jem's blog about Halloween, Alaska.. I listened to a couple of songs on their site and immediately ordered their album afterwards. Finally, it arrived two days ago.. I'm totally impressed! Great songwriting, great production, gloomy atmosphere, some weirdness..love it!

@hwangman: I also bought Jack Conte's music after reading your post in here. Great stuff as well.

Thanks for your kind words! We're indeed more on the metal side, although we do have a lot of quiet moments on the album as well. Nine Days Wonder is probably the heaviest track.

We don't know how the album will be released, as we're exploring several options at the moment. But I can promise you, we'll keep the price reasonable at all times.

From now, you can watch a 7-minute trailer from our debut album "TRAILS" on our website. The album contains 14 tracks of progressive metal, rock, pop, ethnic and everything in between. Release is planned later this year.

Album almost finished

Haven't posted it here yet, but.. incredible job! One of the best animated music videos I've ever seen!  

Oh, you're definitely right on that. I guess the point I was trying to make is that by most prog standards, DT is quite mechanical and not nearly as gripping, emotionally, as most people once thought. I just outgrew them I guess. I still love Scenes From A Memory and Under a Glass Moon is still my favorite guitar solo of all time. =P

That's why my remark about record sales wasn't too serious.. Of course it's not all about sales, although it says something.

As stated above, it's not a contest. But just because you don't like DT anymore as you used to, doesn't mean they're 'better or worse' for everyone. The band's popularity is still growing with each record, which clearly indicates they must still hit the right spot for a lot of people with their new music as well. Whose prog standards? I guess it's just your personal perception of music
