Thanks guys! :)

That one was a rearrangement of my song The Reaper of Notes. It was originally orchestral.

Here's a new video for anyone to watch. It's a different take on one of my favorite songs, with me performing on keytar of course! :)

Thanks E.S. and Mikey. Glad you guys liked it!

I used Logic again. Pretty much always do. And I really like how the guitars sound. Touch of reverb, eq, and it just sounds superb.

Here's another song I performed on my keytar. I used acoustic instruments this time. I think some people here might enjoy it.  :)

Quote from: "FreeThoughtTH"On the subject of keytars, I use the Rock Band 3 keyboard controller as a keytar live sometimes :P. It has a MIDI out so I just connect it up to my rig (I run entirely software synths) and blast away, just for lols :D.

I find that unless you're in a hair metal band, are doing it in a humorous way, or are so extremely good that no-one cares, playing a keytar can often seem a bit wankerish :P. Hope OP is taking that into consideration.

Just my opinion though. Hell if you can pull off playing a keytar on stage go for it!

Wow, didn't think it was a midi instrument. That's pretty cool.

I'd say the keytar would be pretty well suited for a solo act, which I will try to do. It's all about the image, and would be easier to pull off with no one around you (IMO). If you're in a band standing next to guys with nice looking guitars, it looks kinda funny.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it's awesome. I really like it because I can walk around while playing. The feel of it is really comfortable to me. Definitely best suited for a solo act, IMO. I'll have to be practicing and creating songs specifically for live performances.

And the lead sound is definitely my signature lead sound. Love it.

I'll be uploading my next performance on it soon to youtube. I'm playing around with a very nice acoustic guitar tone.

Hahaha. Funny but a good solo. He used the onboard synth sounds, I didn't use them for mine. I like using it strictly as a MIDI controller.

I kinda wish they made this keytar specifically as a MIDI controller. More knobs sliders, etc. That would be awesome.

Thanks guys! Definitely some influence from Jem. I wonder if he has a keytar? That'd be awesome if he did.

I actually got another performance uploaded last night. It's to one of my favorite orchestrations. Anyone can check that one out, too, if they'd like. Really fun one to play to. Trying to bring keytars back! haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2EIaNrWSPE

Hey guys. I just want to stop by and share my music that I've recorded and performed to using my keytar! I actually composed this all on my Korg Triton Extreme... but I got my Ax-Synth the other day and think it's sweet!

The song is called Supersonic. A little proggy, and different. I will definitely be recording more youtube performances in the near future featuring the keytar. Enjoy!

Hey everyone!

I recently started to upload some solo stuff onto youtube...piano improvisations, keyboard solos, etc. And it'd be cool to get some views and comments. So far this is what I've uploaded:

Garageband keyboard solo/jam - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIlC18JDoD8
Piano Improv - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEudqhxmMjs
Harp Improv (using the keyboard on Garageband) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMzx73rc-ho

Enjoy, feedback would be great!

Thank you Jim!

I'd love to have an Oasys, but I got no money...  :(

I think I'll be waiting to see what Korg has in store for their next workstation. They already discontinued the M3, so it shouldn't be too long I don't think.

Thanks gr8gonzo! I would like to continue it. In fact, I have some ideas for part 2 in my keyboard, just never finished it at the time. And it's been two years now, so I gotta find some motivation to keep continuing it. I mean, I have many more unfinished songs in my keyboard. It's hard to commit to one haha.
