Yeah the buggers get everywhere. You have to keep your nuts safely buried these days!

Many people may have the vids on their computers buried in their cache files, depending of course on how often you clean them out, size of cache etc.

On a Windows PC if your using Internet Explorer 9 for example go to Tools in the top left of the browser, then Internet Options, in the window that opens click on the settings button in the browser history section. Next click the View button and you will be able to see all your cached files including any video files you have watched.

Result! I thought I would have one more go at removing it and it started to come off. It's very brittle though, like dried paint. what on earth are those stickers made out of? It's taking a while to come off, breaking in very tiny flecks and going all over the place but at least it's working :)

Thanks for all the input though, it's very much appreciated :)

Although I think the 'stock'stcikers were much smaller.
Failing that you can get clear adhesive sheets from most good stationers (and some rubbish ones too!!!) that will go through most home/office printers and produce a custom one from the myriad of Frosterisk based art that is kicking around here and the wider web.

Excellent idea! I shall be pillaging the local stationary emporium this very afternoon :)

Frost* / Frost*erisk Sticker ?
March 04, 2011, 09:59:43 AM
Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a Frost*erisk Sticker? My G6 has a 5cm diameter whitish patch where there was one but before but when Jem sold the G6 to me he tried to remove it and it left the backing stuck to the keyboard. This can't be removed without taking the white paint off, which is going to look even more naff SO, would really like to cover it with something and a Frost*erisk would do the job nicely :)

I use a three stage process on my forums. first I google the ip address and that usually flags up 90% of spammers straight away cos most of them are too stupid to use a different address. I also google the email address..which they have to verify anyway so that get's rid of another 5% and after that if they are finally let on the forum I have a bunch of very active moderators with permissions to instantly ban anyone who even remotely looks like a spammer :) So far...last ten years, it's worked a treat :)

Blimey, yeah the Oasys is dropping fast :( Still, that's an attractive proposition in itself. With keyboards like that there is happily a bottoming out in price because it's a fantastic bit of kit and really, if you think about it, way more than most musos are ever going to need. The Kronos is just attractive because it's new and of course we all like new kit to play with :)

My wife has been a great supporter in my ficklness with keyboards over the last ten years but I think even she would baulk at me laying out 3 grand for what is, If I am realistic, just eye candy for me.

I sometimes think it would be a good idea if I locked myself in a room with a keyboard and made everyone promise to not let me out until I had actually learned how to use it!

I must be weird cos I kinda like the white candy box look  8-) but then I have a white Fantom G so I HAVE to like it :)

Roland are a bit slow out of the old gate with anything new on the synth front and there goes Korg galloping off into the distance with the Kronos. Not sure what Roland can do. I like the Fantom G though, perhaps a new version with a touch screen and a return to more sensible expansion options ?

Nice looking bit of kit that Kronos but, is this taking us forward any? All they have done is take a load of stuff already out there and shoved it in one box, which is a commendable idea but is anyone going to be producing some fantastic new genre of music because of it ?

I would definitely have one if I could afford it but I know I would only use about 10% of it's capabilities if that and then I'd be looking over the horizon for the next wonder keyboard, crap musician see, always blames his tools

I haven't even scratched the surface of the Fantom G yet...but then it would probably help..A LOT if i read the manual

Anyway, been saying for ages that Korg need to get Jem on board to do their product demos because most of their demonstrators just put you to sleep...zzzzzzz

Looking forward to that Kronos report :)

Gear Corner / Re: Yamaha Motif XF ....
September 28, 2010, 04:18:24 PM
Quote from: "dtscape10"With the XF version it is possible to have 2gb of samples in the keyboard at all times (ie. from when you turn it on) and  there is no need to load them everytime you turn the keyboard on. Is this correct?

Yes but of course Yamaha make you pay extra for the privilege. A Flash memory board isn't fitted as standard.

QuoteUp to 2GB of optional Flash Wave memory – Two slots accommodate proprietary Yamaha flash board options- a 512MB flash board and a 1 GB flash board. Because this is Flash Memory, once you've loaded a sound once, it's always in your MOTIF when you turn it on.
