Frost* / Re: FROST* Recording Masterclass - 31 January to 2 February 2019
« on: February 06, 2019, 01:14:54 PM »
My thinking on this is that it was an opportunity put to the guys and a handy way of offsetting some of the costs of getting out to Cruise To The Edge and getting NDV up to speed.
So not really any recording 'for real' more a geek out day for recording peeps who want to learn some of the tricks from the guys - after all they've all quite impressive CVs in that respect!!!!

Gigs / Re: Frost* at Dingwalls 24th November 2017

Any plans for meeting up pre-gig ?
I guess many people will be travelling down after work etc, but anyone know of any useful meeting points in the area - possibly even ones serving alcoholic beverages ?

First thing I thought was that in order to get nice band close ups, they'd need cameras/camera people  'in the way' of the band and therefore potentially compromising the set for the audience.
Hope that's the reason anyways

Am booked up for Kings Cross - about a mile walk from Camden - may be longer after a night of Frost*y goodness and the associated , ahem, refreshments.

Ticket sorted (courtesy of the always excellent Merch Fairy ;))

Anyone else planning on staying locally ?? Done some quick hotel searches and the big ones around Camden lock are quite pricey, but nearer Kings Cross there are a couple of Travelodges that aren't too expensive (in fact one at the back of the Scala I stayed in for a previous AGM) and that's around a mile away

Is this not the version redone for the Philidelphia Experiment reissue to coincide with the Pirate ship escapade  ;)

Any Other Business / Team Rock/Prog/Classic Rock

Looks like the owners/publishers of the Team Rock website and magazines including Prog & Classic Rock have gone in to administration, with over 70 staff losing their jobs. :(

Never nice, but just before Christmas is particularly bad.

Frost* / Re: Vote for Blunders in drummer's poll

There's another poll over at http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums/best-in-drums-2016-643947 and "our" Blunders is available for voting in a couple of categories (prog and british drummer).

 :D

Everlasting is great - having liked Dec's previous solo efforts (and his Frost* contributions) have duly ordered!!!
Not sure if some of this material is repurposed from the 'Brave New Sky' project which also featured TBE but seems to have disappeared ??

Ask Frost* / Re: B-Sides Compilation?

I think the remixed MIlliontown was done as more of a labour of love and put up through Bandcamp as it was quick and easy without the overheads of going for a full commercial release. And Jem was concious that it was one for the fans rather than mass market appeal as the album had already been out there a while.
