Quote from: "Jem"The backwards bit was written forwards, then reversed, learnt backwards, sung forwards backwards, reversed again so that the backwards stuff ran forwards, but sung backwards.

F***ing brilliant, sir! It's like the backwards bit in Toys but taken to the extreme, and then to the next extreme you see when you reach the first extreme. And then reversed  :D

This is great news!

I'm curious what would come out if instead of Fanfarre, you decided to go crazy on Tarkus. Not happening, but in my head it's just perfect. Anyway, as it have been already said, this non-Frost* year is coming along very Frosty, to our happiness  :D

This song is so catchy! Love the silence part. Thanks for sharing, Jem!

That's great news!

And the packaging ChrisX suggested seems an optimal way of generating more sales and spread the Frostiness* even more.

Can't wait for all this music to be available. An the reports, ¡oh, the reports! 2008 wouldn't have been the same without Frost* Reports, for me.

Does anybody happen to have that Shawn Bishop "Frost in review" show available? The link I managed to fetch from the show's RSS is broken.

If it's too large to upload anywhere don't do it, only if it's no problem. Thanks!

After having listened to both new tracks a couple of times, I must say they're leaning to the more metal side and reducing their prog approach. Also, I can't help to think that they have found a "formula", since most of the sections in A nightmare to remember and A rite of passage are just to similar to others in past Dream Theater songs.

Anyway, as a DT fan for many years, I will wait to listen for the whole thing to be available in order to form a better opinion. And also, I'm curious for the cover versions, for the lenght of the tracks I can't guess which one they'll be. Some La villa Strangiato would be fine, but I'm afraid the things will be metal-er than that.

Frost* / Re: Frost on Spotify

Quote from: "Bokkie"But why not use the pc where he's posting with?
Or is he like me an Ubuntu user.

Somehow unrelated, but it's not difficult to run Spotify in Ubuntu through the program Wine. Even I managed to make Firefox communicate with ubuntu via "spotify:" links, which seems not to work in every case.

Anyway, Spotify is a nice piece of software, and it makes recommending a much easier and cleaner task.

I'm thinking... should there be a Frosties* colaborative playlist?

Really cool. I read somewhere about that specific technique of painting with light somewhere, and I thought "cool". Mix it with Frost* and you get "Really cool".  :D

And for some reason this picture reminds me of Diablo2, the videogame. I'm not sure why, but it's great for me. Nice job, Mike!

Speaking of Schoolyard Ghosts, the two words I use to describe it to others are 'beautiful' and 'sweet'.

Speaking of Wilson and knowing a lot of you guys like to tweak and play with songs, there is a remix contest for the track Abandoner  -->  HERE  <-- . Is anyone gonna try something with that?
