Frost* / Frosties, your help is needed pleeeeeeaaaaase?!
November 18, 2015, 07:02:16 AM
Hello guys and girls.
By some freak of nature/change in the weather, I've been nominated as 2015 best prog drummer of the year in Rhythm magazine. I don't normally go in for 'best' etc but it's a huge honour to be even thought about in the same breath as the greats. I pretty much know I won't win but if you'd take literally 5 seconds to tick my name on this link and pass it on/share to anyone that will listen i'd genuinely be extremely greatful, it would be nice to make a dent in the usual suspects winning it year after year. Thank you so much. See you soon

to all you guys for the great turn out last night, it made it all very worthwhile. We all couldn't believe how rammed the venue was (there's another story)

I'm sure, t'others will be along to say "thank you" but just wanted to say thank you personally, its been a ridiculous year for me this year with all sorts of things going on and a mega amount of traveling and you guys topped off my year last night, I hope all you drummer types enjoyed it, we've been rehearsing hard and it was nice to have some fun with the music with Nath on my end (fnar puns expected)

Until the next time.....

Merry christmas and a positively alcoholic new year

Good morning all,

Me and the wonderful Alex Hutchings have been working on a little duo recently in our spare time. We wrote a load of stuff in a couple of days and then flew out to Japan and filmed it for Roland and Boss, the idea to show ideas and technology. on the live shows we are doing soon, I'm playing bass, Al on drums into loopstations etc etc and building tracks from there. I've used a few different kits and I'm changing them on a pad under the hi-hat

Here are two of the tracks, I hope you enjoy them, we had so much fun doing this even though it was very very late by the time we stopped filming  ;)

Best Wishes

Frost* / Mammoth Bike ride - Help Needed
April 04, 2012, 07:33:04 AM
Hey Guys, I hope you are well

looking back on me saying yes to this I'm starting to question my sanity, but...

In August, with the directors of Roland UK, I'll be cycling from John O'Groats to lands end in 10 days, its an average of nearly 100 miles a day. The next 4 months training are going to be brutal but the causes are amazing, Children in need and music for all.

I've put my body through some pretty mad things over the years but nothing like this. I know times are very hard for all but even if its just a couple of quid, or please forward to your own social network sites then i'd be so very gratefulI. I hope I can count on your support, I'll be blogging progress very soon. If I get 5,000 people donating a £1 then that would be amazing. The link is on the page below, please leave a message, I'll make sure I respond to you all personally

I hope you can help
Best Wishes

Jerk? really? sometimes it just p**sses me off and is utterly draining hurtful and really demotivating to see fking comments like that when all you want to do is inspire and help people, REALLY feel like replying but it will start a flame war, feel free to though if you want tho guys ;-)

This vid is expected to get a hooooge amount of hits worldwide from Roland fans, because, well, can't say too much at this stage but it will !

I'll post a link from my hotel room onto my facebook, twtter and the tube when it has been posted live, if you guys could comment about the band, the track, me etc etc "I'd/we'd" all be eternally grateful, its a nice opportunity to get the band in front of a wider audience that haven't heard it.....innit !

Frost* / Drummy updates
August 29, 2010, 09:34:25 AM
Greetings all I hope you are well on this fine day, I've just returned from Portugal to a very crappy Stanstead after 2 weeks down time before the best part of three months on. I thought i'd give you a little drummy update! I've been learning the DotR gig on hols and its been hilarious bouncing emails back and forth with the guys, especially the night the "poster" landed on my email, I could hardly breathe.....!

Both sets are going really well and we're all looking forward to a nice few run thru's over the next few weeks, its REALLY difficult trying to get us all in the same place at once but we're getting there, ish

I had an out of the blue phone call from Mr Edwards last week and he seemed genuinely over the moon that I got the gig which is high praise as he's a dear old friend of mine and I kind of wanted his blessing too. He sounds very happy which was great to hear. So December looms and I think me and Jem are going to do something a bit "different" on the gigs as we both love a bit of Roland tech, so I don't think I'll be just playing drums.....

So thank you for all your words of encouragement, its a very cool little family I'm a part of here and I feel very honored that I was invited to join it. If you want to see what I'm up to, I'm on the usual social silly pointless rant sites!

Now off to a darken room to design some sounds for Roland V-drums for a few days and prepare for a little trip to Russia

Play nice everyone

Hi Guys, We've been inundated with ideas so far which is amazing. I've had a few emails from you guys asking if we can keep it running a while longer so we are!!

PLEAAAAAAASE send your entries to"> we're gonna keep it open till the end of August

Best Wishes

In conjunction with Frost*, Pimpco and the blessing of the wonderful lads at Mapex we are giving you an opportunity to design the finish of Craig Blundell's Mapex Orion kit for the forthcoming Frost* Gigs in December and all 2011 dates. The only criteria is that the colours are blue and white, the Frost* and Mapex logos are optional. The winner will meet the band at the o2 Islington academy on the 3rd of December and be Craig's tech for the evening. He or She will have their name "designed by" on the bass drum. The kit will be used for all the future Frost* tours.
What we need is a high res image of the drum surface either in PDF or JPG format, and Pimpco will create a wrap for the kit. The closing date is the 9th July 2010, send in your designs to">
So what are you waiting for? Send in those high quality designs and create the kit that you always wanted to see onstage with Frost*.....

Hi guys,

firstly thank you so much for all your emails and kind words welcoming me to the Frost family. I'm absolutely thrilled to be asked to join the guys as I've been long time followers of their work. I know andy and nick really well and regard them as two of the best players on the planet so I feel flattered and I'm aware I have some huge boots to fill

for those of you who don't know about me, I'm a session guy who's played with a few people in my time in the industry. In prog world I hold down the drum chair with David cross from king crimson so I've spent a bit of time exploring time signatures and love a challenge

Mapex are making me a kit for Frost and for my upcoming clinic tours so I'm really excited

it's gonna be great to work with the guys and in true tradition I hope I can raise the bar for all the loyal fans of the band

once again thank you for all your kind words and I look forward to seeing you on future dates

best wishes
