Gigs / Gig listed on Songkick?

Given the recent silence from Jem, and the fact that JM is currently on tour with Arena, I think we can be pretty sure it's a mistake...

Frost* / New album news (sort of)
August 12, 2016, 11:24:32 PM
Posted on facebook a short while ago:

The new album will not be 8 years away. I can't say anything more definite than that right now, but read more into it than I can say at the moment. ;)

Hi peeps, as my mother has decided not to accompany me to the RAH to see Blunders with Steven Wilson, I have a spare ticket available for each night. Details are:

Monday 28th Sept: Block K, row 8, seat 86 - tiered seating behind the mixing desk - good for seeing the visuals: Face value £45, cost £50.75 including booking fee
Tuesday 29th Sept Block F, front stalls, row 3, seat 22 - 3rd row in front of Dave K - you may not see Blunders from here if he is too far back on the stage: Face value £55, cost £58.60 including booking fee

PM me, or contact me via facebook if we're friends on there. I'd like to recoup my costs, but will consider offers.

Other Bands / John Mitchell solo album - Lonely Robot
October 24, 2014, 11:34:57 AM
I know a lot of you are already aware of this, but for those not on twitter...

John Mitchell is recording an album called Lonely Robot which will be released in January and which he says has a Kino-like vibe.
Among the guest artists are Jem, Blunders, Steve Hogarth, and Kim from Touchstone.

Frost* / Cruise to the Edge 2015
April 15, 2014, 09:59:42 PM
Larry Morand, one of the organisers of Cruise to the Edge, has put a questionnaire up on facebook asking who we want to see on the cruise next year.

I've just added Frost*, but they need some more votes if they're to catch up with the more established acts:

Frost* / Clouda

After the slight hiccup caused by the Rockfield/YouTube fiasco, it looks as though Jem is up to musical mischief again, albeit not under the Frost* moniker this time...

Yay! to the return of TBE and the Mad Fiddler  ;D

Frost* / Fancy a guitar lesson from John Mitchell?
December 08, 2012, 11:04:14 PM
I don't think it's been mentioned here already, but if you're a guitarist and you've got a few(!) pounds to spare, John Mitchell is auctioning a guitar lesson (and lunch) in aid of charity. Here's your big chance to find out how to nail that BLM guitar solo!

Announcements / Blunders' Blog
September 07, 2011, 01:05:43 PM
Those of us who follow Blunders on Twitter and Facebook know:

1. He works too hard
2. What that did to him on Monday.

He's written a lengthy account of his escapade and what he's learnt from it in his blog and would like it passed on to anyone who might be in similar danger.

http://www.craigblundell.net/blog/

That's two members of Frost* who've come close to driving themselves over the edge this year, and a timely reminder that even though you may enjoy your work, your body still needs a rest from time to time.

Good luck with your new, quieter, lifestyle Craig  :)

Frost* / Jem's New Blog

We may be in for a Frost*free year in 2011, but that doesn't mean Jem's gone quiet.
Here's what I found yesterday...

Any Other Business / What going on at the CRS?
March 07, 2009, 04:25:46 PM
Here's a bit of a mystery that someone close to the CRS might be able to throw some light on...

I just Googled for their web address, (cos I couldn't be bothered to hunt for it among my bookmarks) and the top link came up looking like this...

QuoteIt is with sadness that I have to announce the resignation of Martin Hudson from Classic Rock UK. Ltd. (The Classic Rock Society). ...
theclassicrocksociety.blogspot.com/ - 139k - Cached - Similar pages

When I clicked through to the site I got the page without that announcement, and reloading it didn't help.

Clicking on Google's cached version showed the page with this at the top:

Announcement - The future of the CRS

It is with sadness that I have to announce the resignation of Martin Hudson from Classic Rock UK. Ltd. (The Classic Rock Society).

A full statement will follow shortly.

Any thoughts, anyone? It looks to me as though the announcement was added to the CRS website, then removed again, but not until after Google had cached it.
