My friend Jake and I took a few days out last month and made this song for a themed competition:

It's an arrangement of some Legend of Zelda songs which we did in a big cinematic pirate movie style. I did the guitars, drums, bass and mixing, he handled the arrangement and orchestration I don't usually share this kind of stuff outside the small community that we do it for, but I figure if anyone can give me worthwhile feedback it'll be a fan of Frost*. Anyway I hope you guys enjoy it and I very much look forward to feedback! Thanks!

So myself and a friend of mine thought it would be awesome and hilarious to cover BLM using only a single YM2612 FM chip to simulate the limitations of a Sega Genesis (or Megadrive to my European friends) video game console. I'm using a VSTi called VOPM and the kick+snare samples ripped out of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Not sure if there is any interest for that here (and hopefully I wont be spanked by legal paddles), but I thought it appropriate to post it! We've only just begun so we don't have much done (the entire song is roughly transcribed but this is the most complete section), and I intend to finish this up as soon as I get back from my vacation. Anyway, check it out and tell me what you think! (and excuse the bits of the actual song at the end, I forgot to mute before exporting)

(p.s. oh yeah, everything is performed live, and try not to mind the mistakes, especially during those impossible to hear arpeggios, "WALL OF SOUND" would have been a better title for this song!)
