Look what my friend has in his workshop for a full refurb right now. That stuff on top of it is a load of unrelated guts of EQs, by the way.

I've never even seen one of these legendary beasts before, only read about them.

If the wind is in the West, I may even get a few samples up later......

Other Bands / Nick Magnus

Those of you who follow Hackett will probably know about Magnus' new album. Some good bits here, I think, though it feels like I've stepped back in time a bit- or a lot- listening to this. ... r_god.html

Other Bands / And anyway, the new Pat Metheny album is here....

New Aussie prog, with a familiar-ish feel:

I'm just checking them out now.

Some folk can count - and some can (and do) play- in odd metres.

My heart beats in an odd metre:  7/8 or 9/8, subject to a proper scan.

Beat that, if you can.

Other Bands / Daryl's at it again- this time with Todd

Zero Prog, maximum Philly Soul.... enjoy!

Any Other Business / The Stig

As a recent returnee to these hallowed shores, I've been catching up on Top Gear episodes.

I note that the Stig, in the last four episodes I have watched, has listened to ELP, Camel, Van Der Graaf Generator and Gabriel-era Genesis while doing his timed laps.

Alright, which of you is it in the balaclava?

Gear Corner / New gear day...

Coming soon to a postbox near me... another Kramer Baretta.

This one's a brand new reissue, and was paid for when I laid down my Jacksons at the Dallas Show, and saw the sweetness I'd been crying for - a never-played black one to go with my oversprayed white original.

Any other new 6-strings out there, or is it all keys and over-size bongos for you guys lately  ?
