Quote from: "Drarok"What drum kit is that? Sounds very much like Drumkit From Hell, is all... :)

I can't afford a drumkit or...a drummer.

Demo version of the first song from an upcoming EP, enjoy! (and do comment, obviously)

This version is missing vocals (which I haven't written yet) and a lot of keys (which the other half of the project is yet to do) and is also un-mixed. And as said above, recorded solely in my bedroom. :P

Enjoy: //http://soundcloud.com/krizmorriz/waves-demo-version

Hmm, I was thinking of getting the 25key one...how much are you after for it?

Announcements / Re: Frost* Derby DVD - PLEASE READ!

As one of those slightly mental people who drove quite a large distance to get there (Devon and back) I can say despite this it was completely worth it. Jem, you genuinely are a completely wonderful bloke, I'm starting to worry that Frost is taking up a huge amount of your life you'd otherwise like to be spending...well..doing something a bit more fun perhaps. Either way, reading that I was slightly disappointed, but the lengths to which you're going to make up for what wasn't even your mistake puts you right up there as one of the most personable and fan-concious musicians in modern music (if not *the* most).

You're an absolutely mental devoted person to just pleasing a relatively small amount of people and I have the utmost respect for you for that.

As the above said; A 90 minute Frost Report/Gig? Oh go on then.  :D

I know this is the wrong place to ask this probably but I'd like a speedy response...is all we need the 'invoice' email with our order number etc on it for tomorrow? And does anyone have a postcode for the venue?

Ladies and Gents, the day is upon us. The day we have waited long and hard for. The pot of gold at the end of a very long rainbow. To those attending, I wish you good luck. To those not, your time will come, be it tomorrow, the day after or some unknown point in the future. For those in attendance...tonight is the night.

So I'll see you all in the queue, yeah?

Gigs / Re: What's your bestest Frost* gig?

Only seen them in Southampton (my hometown) supporting DT. In fact hadn't even heard of them before it was announced they were supporting and on reading the name my reaction was something like: "Oh, Frost? Jeez, sounds like some dreadful deathcore band." and upon hearing them was "Sound like a bunch of 20-somethings having a massive laugh, I could like this."

Little did I know they were a touch more mature.  ;)

But anyway, I fell in love a bit and had a blast. Met all of DT beforehand whilst sitting outside and saw loads of people in Frost* t shirts (always wondered if I unknowingly saw any of the band...) and knew (and sang) every single word to their set, which I think very few people around me could do. Plus I'm sure at one point Dec pointed at me during BLM (my favorite song) and the sound quality was fine because I was in the second row. But loved every minute, a giant inflatable banana appearing during 'that moment' in BLM was great, and Jem introducing Dec as "In charge of housekeeping and weekend baking, Mrs Declan Burke."

Genius.

Quote from: "Mouse"I'm sure a combination of identity, Email confirmation, proof of address, credit card used and all that would be enough to get you in if the tickets don't turn up in time. It's not your fault for not recieving them, so you shouldn't be denied entry to a gig you've paid for.

I bloomin' hope so.  :|

Starting to panic a bit now...my tickets still haven't arrived and whats more they're being delivered to my home, not my uni home, so my parents need at least a day in advance to forward them on to me. What is Seetickets policy generally if they don't arrive in time? Can you get in touch with the box office and pick up your tickets with your credit card or anything?

Ach, I'm still interested, but I've been a complete let down having had work piled all over me. I could probably try a guitar solo or something on it somewhere if needs be (of course I could do more but I'm guessing its mostly been done so far). Just listening to the latest version now, it sounds fantastic.

Yeah, I don't get the whole stigma for Boss either. I think they're probably just ubiquitous...but probably for a good reason...

And thanks, I'll probably give that a go at some point (damn being a poor student, this forum is bad for my lust).

Gear Corner / Quick Query...

Just bought a Boss DS-2 (yeah, I know some people hate them and what-not, but its exactly what I needed) and it has an input for an optional footswitch to act as a 'turbo' button of sorts, and claims I need a latching footswitch. I tried using my single-button amp-channel-switching-footswitch (Blackstar FS-1) but this doesn't seem to work, and is only 'on' when the button is pressed - that is to say if I take my foot off, it goes off, rather like a sustain pedal, I guess. I assume this means its an 'unlatched' footswitch? Does anyone know where I could get a cheap, decent latched footswitch?

Reckon we could do a sort of 'pass the parcel' esque thing with the microphone, so someon says 'No right no wrong, no true no lie" then passes the mic on to the next person and so on. It'd be...catastrophically brilliant, I'd say.

Heheh, I may well do that (as long as you promise not to tell anyone).  :P

Ta as usual (actually while I'm here, thanks ever so much for the superb service - I ordered a poster on Thursday night last week and had it Saturday morning. Pride and place next to the signed Esoteric Evening one on my wall. Keep up the good work.)
