Thanks for the link. Tis probably me and my thoughts, but perhaps things are going off in lots of directions, and I'm not very good at following them all

People leaving bands, no word from people...

Is everyone moving on to greener pastures, following Jem's lead? (Which, going by his keyboard skills, would be a very fast one...sorry :P)

I've lost touch and there have been no updates, I heard Jem had a new blog but.... eh, prog...

My latest bit of completely unrelated musical foolishness, I decided to re-dub the latest advert from Volkswagen, taking out the bizarre rap/tango fusion piece they are currently using, and creating something very much contrasting with a little bit of flair.

Comments welcome. I know it isn't very proggy, but until I move into my new place, I'm a bit restricted to what gear is within reach, there's boxes everywhere :D

I tried some Mt. Dew, and I have this to say:

Sprite is a lemon and lime fizzy drink.
Mt. Dew is a lime and lemon fizzy drink.

See it stuck out to me the first time I heard it, I had no choice.

Why am I a musician? :(

Quote from: "Mouse"I'll have a listen once Deep Purple have finished playing their gargantuan rendition of Space Truckin' from the Made In Japan album. Now I remember why it's rare that I ever get through this album...  ;)

A preliminary thought might be that could an effect have been added to the drums live via the mixing desk at that point in Hyper-V? And then they didn't add it during Milliontown? Probably unlikely, but it could've been a live thing rather than a studio thing, to be incredibly specific.

That is entirely possible, though I seem to recall either a report or Tweet regarding mixing the gig, it does happen, and it's done very well... in comparison to some, other, prog bands...

It's just one part in the live version that really sticks out to me. :P

Hundred and nine views and one reply, I'm starting to think this thread was a poor idea.. :P It doesn't exclusively have to be Jem answering, c'mon, I want your opinions, guys!

I'd recommend dropping him this via PM if you haven't already, from his latest post he's dropping his presence on here for a while.

You could easily get in touch with current/previous members of Frost*, it's a good hub for finding musicians to research, really. You could see what JM could contribute, You've got Dec of Declanshire doing the Darwins Radio thing,  the boys from IQ and the Spocks crew you could get in touch with, and doesn't TBE work at your college now? Or was that JJ? I can't remember. Details :P

Quote from: "AndreasK"From my experience Frost fans usually start at about age 25+. At that point you (should) have somewhat of a life that would keep you from spending every moment of every day having flamewars on a messageboard about the exact velocity of the 483rd note during the first measure of a Rudess solo. So I think we're allowed to take breaks from the internet without the rest of the forum disowning us.

I swear it was 64, as he wanted it closer to fortissimo, 63 is basic forte, you imbecile!
